More than 5000 peaks made home in Nepal. Among many are restricted and very few are opened to climb. Islands peak (6173m) is one opened to climb. It is known as Imja Tse. From Dingboche, it just looks like an Island. This quality gives the name Island to this peak. Our walk goes very technical and challenging. These are the main problem of our route. It creates many obstacles. We walk through the main track of Chhukung Glacier. Famous route Lhotse Shar of Everest Region, Mt. Amadablam and Mt. Lhotse are also included in our itinerary. Our climb is combined with many routes.

We start our island peak climb from Lukla and end at the same point. Here we have early morning mountain flight. Its duration is 1 hr. In this time we are offered with spectacular views of giant mountain ranges. It is our first & last impression. At first, we cross Everest base camp and Gokyo valley. Our walking distances are short. But ice wall, mixed rock path, and narrow summit ridge take our time. We are surrounded by full of natural beauties. Like this, we reach summits of Island peak. Like this our aim is fulfilled.

Detail Itineraries

  • Day 01:Arrival at Kathmandu 1350m/4428ft. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International airport in Kathmandu than you’ll be received by our official representative then transfer to hotel. Same day evening we rocnize you to visit and look around at Thamel which is main tourist hum in Nepal, overnight at hotel.
  • Day 02:Kathmandu valley sightseeing. Today is a day to explore the beautiful Kathmandu valley. We will take you into the Kathmandu valley for sightseeing. Where you will visit: Pashupatinath Temple, Bauddhanath Stupa and Bhaktapur Durbar-square, Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 03:Fly Kathmandu/Lukla (2610m) and 3hrs trek to Phakding (2810m). We have a scenic flight to Lukla about 35minute. We are now in the land of Sherpa; we meet and introduce our crew who will carry your luggage's entire your trek. The trail goes continue along the Dudh Koshi River, passing through the Sherpa villages of Chhupulung, Ghat and then reaches at Phakding. The trail offers some majestic and alluring views mountains and beautiful landscapes where you will see Tibetan words carved in rocks and multi-color Buddhist flags are hanging around the mani walls it makes trek more exciting, Overnight at lodge.

  • Day 04:Trek to Namche 3,450m/11,315ft- 6hrs.Today we head off from Phakding than after the scenic trail will continue along Dudhkoshi River, we are ascending through rhododendron, giant fir, Himalayan pine and cedar forest viewing first beautiful mountain of Kusum kangaroo and Thamserku. The trail is blooming. We cross the high suspension bridges and than we are while climbing through the dense forest than pass the view point where we can see first Mt. Everest view. As you arrive Namche Bazaar a town with set in an arena with seeing beautiful mountains surrounding the town. In afternoon go to the market area will be lively scene to explore, Overnight at lodge.

  • Day 05:Rest and acclimatization.Today we will ascent into the thin air towards twin villages Khumjung and Khunde, this day will be most charming Sherpa villages in Khumbu region. Once you reach at Everest View Lodge this Lodge built by Japanese people, you will be able to see the majestic landscape and it will be more appreciate the spectacular view of Himalayas including two mountains above eight thousand meters high Mt.Evereat, Lotse and othersTaubuche, Cholatse, Thamserkuk, Kwangde, Khandeka and the gorgeous Ama Dablam. Then we will continue descend to Khumjung and we get good chance to visit the Hillary school in Khumjung, and 500 years old a monastery where "Yeti skull" has put since 1995. While we are descending to Namche after visiting these places here, we see the big yak farm on the way down to Namche, In Namche we will visit the Sherpa Museum and traditional custom of Sherpa as well as mountain photo gallery, Overnight at lodge.

  • Day 06:Trek to Tengboche 3,860m/12,677ft- 4/5hrs.We continue trek t up hills the trail leads towards through Namche with view of landscape and snow-capped mountains. Then we drop down to cross the Dudkoshi river than we will ascent again right cross the river through suspension bridge steep ascending start to walk through into the rhododendron forest to Tengboche Monastery at the end top. This is one of the spiritual vital carrying Buddhist monastery in Khumbu region and an evening or in the morning watch fantastic sunset or sunrise over panoramic mountain, overnight at lodge.

  • Day 07:Trek to Dingboche 4,410m/14,485ft- 4/5hrs. Today morning we pray in Monastery before we have breakfast after back we will have beautiful breakfast with seeing sunrise on Mt. Everest and surrounding peaks. Then we head off descending through jungle some time spot the musk deer, mountain gout and monkeys on the way, then cross the Imja Khola whose valley now we follow ascending steadily to reach Pangboche. Then trail goes through a Yak pasture known as Somare then now we are leaving trees behind us and cross a wooden bridge at confluence of Khumbu khola and Imja Khola. The trail continues a short climb up brings us at Dingboch. Perhaps today most is interesting trek day because incredible Ama Dablem and Mt. Everest.Overnight at lodge.

  • Day 08:Acclimatisation.Today our trek will be great and pleasant short walk to little hike and around the village then spend easy and relax day or we may trek continue climbing steep up resulting in a physically challenging to reach in 200 meters hike to get the great views of Mt. Makalu (world 5th highest mountain), Ama Dablem, Thamserku, Kangtega, Imja peak, Lobuche East, Lobuche West, Taboche, Baruntse, Cholatse with great views of khumbu valley. After enjoying great views of majestic Himalayas and descending to Dingboche, Overnight at lodge.

  • Day 09:Trek to Lobuche 4,910m/16,105ft- 4hrs.The trail climbs slightly up out of Dingboche village; pass a chorten at the top then gradual up path passing the yak pasture to cross the Khumbu khola then reach at Thugla at the end of the terminal moraine of Khumbu glacier. Now the trail lead steep climb up to ridge at top Chukpo Lari where we have heart poignant line of memorials in tribute to the climbers who have died on Mt. Everest expeditions since starting. Short gradual-up walk bring us at Lobuche and we have glimpse of the border Himalayas, Overnight at lodge.

  • Day 10:Trek to Everest Base Camp and back to Gorkshep 5,185m/17010ft- 4hrs. Today is the most exciting and long awaited day. Leaving from Lubuche the trail leads flat meadow for while then following the khumbu Glacier northwards and short climbing up. Then trail climb onto the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier to Gorak shep. The path provides superb view of massive khumbu Glacier and trans-Himalayas. Upon our arrival at Gorak Shep check in the room then after lunch we walk to Everest base Camp. The trail continues on the moraine of khumbu glacier and path often change on the season because of melting of glacier. Once we reach at Base Camp, we take a photographs then retracing to Gorakshep.Overnight at lodge.

  • Day 11:Hike to Kalapather 5,545m/18,187ft – Dingboche 4,410m/14,485ft- 4/5hrs. Wake up early morning today then 2hrs climbing-up bring us at Kalapathar on bottom of Mt. Pumari. From Kalapathar we see sunrise on majestic Himalayas in 360º degree including Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lola, Khumbutse, Ama Dable, Taubuche, Cholatse, Thamserku and numerous other peaks with the excellent views of Everest Base camp and Khumbu glacier. Then have a breakfast after that continue walk through the moraine of Khumbu glacier and passing Lobuche, we descend back down beautiful valley to Dengbuche. Overnight at lodge.

  • Day 12:Dingbuche to Chhukung (4,730 m/15,518 Ft & 2hrs)The gradual trail leading through Imja valley with between Ama Dablam and Lohotse. It is short trek from Dingboche to Chhukung, after reaching Chukung, we do site trip to Chhukung Ri to see sunset on mount Baruntse, Makalu and Ama Dablam.

  • Day 13:Chhukung to Island Peak Base camp (5,200 m/17,060 Ft & 3-4hrs)From Chhukung, gradual up will climb south on moraine of Island glacier, after while we turn east of Imja valley. The trail continuous with seeing Himalayas and passing stunning Imja Lake then reach at Island Base Camp.

  • Day 14:Base Camp to Summit and back to Base Camp then descend to Chhukung (5,600m/18,372ft & 9hrs)We starts journey early morning today after breakfast, the mean to start early because need to reach summit before midday and turn back as soon as possible. The path continuous with rocky channels, rock arroyo and crevasse. Your guide will often use rope while climbing wherever necessary for safety. After summited descend to camp where your kitchen crew are waiting you with hot drink in mug.

  • Day 15:Chhukung to Namche Bazaar& 6-7hrsLong trekking day with hiking 17 km distance on downhill territory with pass ancient Buddhist monastery at Pangboche, the Sherpa believed oldest monastery in Khumbu valley. Trek further down beautiful pasture and getting back to pine and rhododendron forest. Then vising Tengboche monastery before traverse Dudh koshi River and trek up to Namche with climbing 300 m.

  • Day 16:Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800 m/9,186 Ft & 6-7hrs)Last day of trek in Everest region, trail keep descend from Namche to Tadokoshi along with the milky river and exit from Everest national park at Monju. From Chhuplung we trek up through Sherpa village to Lukla, the Everest base camp Island peak journey end here with life time memories. Here comes to celebrate success party of the Island peak climbing with crew and gratitude.

  • Day 17:Fly Lukla/Kathmandu 35minutes.Today we have scenic flight back to Kathmandu, Upon arrival at Kathmandu. And drive to hotel. Then take a rest or shopping for family and friends. We have a fare-well dinner at Thamel, overnight at hotel.

Health and Fitness requirement

Island peak climb is a challenging  destination for every  climber who loves to enjoy and explore the beautiful landscape while climbing on this beautiful peak. This climb basically starts from low land to high land as you are hiking followinng trekking trails to Everest base camp and after base camp than our climbing journey start. We mainly concern your physical fitness to complete the journey.  The every day trek prefers 4/5 hours in day light. As you hiking up to the high altitude than you have to prepared by physically and mentality to be succeeding the trip, our provision is making your trip reliable and remarkable without any problems in every step to steps with your wealth health. Our first priority is safety for your entire trip. you Should convenience yourself to take some pre-training course of trek which could be great helped you, considering the some physical exercise like jogging, running, climb stair-case, cycling, swimming and hitting gym etc.

Accommodation in Kathmandu, you would be staying in best hotel basically on 3 stars, in twin-sharing basis. But Accommodations in trekking  is simple and comfortable beds room with sharing two persons sometime  if you are single you get single bed room as well with hygienic food, Every trekking routes has fixed menu and hotel system by local management community at in area

Passport and Visa

Every client must have a veiled passport from return date with at 6 month prior validity in Nepalese consulate in your country or immigration office Tribhuban airport in Kathmandu.

Meals and Drinking Water

In popular trekking areas like Annapurna, Everest, Langtang and Manaslu have menu system with different ethnic cuisines foods as well as western meals you can see on the Menu, you could pick up any kinds of meal as you like to eat from the Menu. But some places provide you typical Nepali meals which are different types of international meals. These are prepared by local supplement. Every tourist Lodge has well trained cook basically attention for clean, hygienic, fresh and nice testy foods. We can even enjoy hot chocolates; variety of breads, variety of drinks, and every lodge have safe drinking water or minerals bottles of water you could buy there. If you buy water purification tablet from Kathmandu you can take water from tap and purify by yourself this will be cheaper and controlled to plastic pollution as well.

Best Season

Best season is in spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) these months are the best time for this trip. The weather will be sunny and warm with outstanding scenery view. If you wish to avoid crowds this trip during in winter (Dec., Jan. and Feb.) could also be the best options.
