Overview

"Take the first steps on your journey to Mount Everest in the fabled highlands of the Khumbu: the heart of Sherpa country. It’s here that you’ll discover a bewitching combination of classic Himalayan peaks, timeless Buddhist monasteries, and friendly mountain villagers practicing an enduring way of life. Let Alpine Ramble Treks be your guide to this unforgettable adventure of a lifetime".

Complete Everest Base Camp Trek  8 Days Overview

Have you ever wanted to embark on the EBC Trek to see the world’s tallest mountain for yourself? Have you ever wanted to set out on an overland trek in one of the most spectacular and remote corners of the planet? This trekking itinerary allows you to complete the round-trip circuit to the base of Mount Everest in just eight days.

We’ve crafted this package specifically for travelers who are on a tight schedule, ensuring that you won’t miss out on any of the highlights that this world-famous hiking route has to offer.

The trekking to EBC is arguably the single most popular trail in the Himalayas, attracting visitors from around the globe year after year. And if you’re looking for an accessible and rewarding way to experience this unparalleled adventure, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better option than our eight-day hiking to Everest Base Camp.

No matter the season, the exceptional beauty and challenging terrain of the Khumbu conspire to offer the most extraordinary experience a hiker could desire on the hike to Everest Base Camp.

You’ll traverse lush forests draped in moss, cross alpine meadows adorned with wildflowers, and pass through picturesque trailside villages clinging to the slopes of steep mountains.

And at the end of the trail, you’ll reach Everest itself: an 8,848-meter colossus that defines not only Nepal’s mountain ranges but also the entirety of the Himalayas themselves. Known variously as Everest, Sagarmatha, and Chomolungma, the tallest mountain in the world is an awe-inspiring sight of undisputable magnitude—but it’s not the only peak in the region.

As you approach the base camp, you’ll walk in the shadows of an entire range of truly mighty mountains. The evocative names of Lhotse, Nuptse, Thamserku, Kongde, Pumori, and Ama Dablam are just a few of them. And when you reach the thrilling high-altitude vantage point of Kala Patthar, you’ll be rewarded with a 360-degree panorama of these distinctive landmarks.

During the trek, you’ll also visit a number of iconic mountain villages that have become synonymous with the Khumbu: Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, and Lobuche.

You’ll get a firsthand glimpse into the daily routines of local people here, including the vibrant religious traditions which define their way of life.

You’ll learn to recognize and understand the significance of the Buddhist Chortens, prayer wheels, and prayer flags that can be found along the trail, and we’ll even visit the most important religious center in the region: Tengboche Monastery.

Your guide from Alpine Ramble Treks (ART) will help you to unlock the secrets of the Khumbu, interpreting the rich cultural fabric of the Himalayas and leading you to the conclusion of a successful trek.

Best Time of Year for Everest Trek 8-Day

Weather in the Himalayas is variable, and the best trekking seasons are usually determined by the arrival of the summer monsoon.

In order to avoid the wettest conditions, many hikers travel during the spring, which occurs from February to March. This is the time of year when wildflowers are in bloom and temperatures are at their most comfortable.

Other trekkers might prefer to undertake the EBC during the autumn season, between September and November. This is perhaps the best time of year for crisp days and clear mountain views. Of course, winter treks are also possible; while temperatures can be cold and trails can be packed with snow, there is an undeniable appeal to enjoying the trip without a crowd.

We typically recommend hiking the Everest Base Camp during the summer. If your schedule only allows you to visit Nepal during the summer, Alpine Ramble Treks will be happy to arrange a proper Himalayan adventure on one of our many alternate routes.

Everest Base Camp Hike 8 Days Difficulty

While prior trekking experience is not a prerequisite for our Everest Trek package, this is a moderately difficult hiking trail with a maximum elevation of more than 5,500 meters. You’ll be walking for six or seven hours each day, and the trail ascends and descends as it winds through countless side valleys and high-altitude mountain passes.

For these reasons, you should be in good health and physically fit before embarking on this trek. Since this trek has excluded the days for acclimatization then your past trekking or hiking experience might be very helpful.

Walking, running, and other forms of cardiovascular exercise are great ways to prepare for the opportunity to cross Mt. Everest from your bucket list. An expert guide from Alpine Ramble Treks will also be assigned to watch over you, monitor your progress and condition, and shepherd you safely all the way from Luka to Everest Base Camp—and back again.

This trek is doable if you are physically prepared. However, being a positive mindset will also help to determine whether to complete this trek.

The route follows the same as the traditional EBC 12-day hike but this program does not include the day for the acclimatization which might not need if you are physically fit since our itinerary gains the high slowly from the lower lands to the high elevation.

Moreover, this 8-Day Everest base camp trekking is doable by any group of travelers who are able to walk four-six hours a day. It is an average hike and does not require any technical climbing.

EBC trip Alternative options

If the 8-Day Everest Base Camp Trekking isn’t quite what you’re looking for, Alpine Ramble Treks has plenty of alternatives here in Khumbu. Hikers who are traveling for two weeks would consider our comfortable 12-day EBC trek that includes two acclimatization days during the trek.

And if you’re only here on a brief visit, you can still enjoy the splendor of the world’s tallest mountain by booking our Everest Helicopter Tour or you may be interested in our easy Langtang Valley trek and Annapurna Base Camp Trek at an affordable inclusion value.

With convenient departures from Kathmandu, these day trips are a fantastic way to get up close and personal with Mt. Everest when you’re short on time.

Please note: On rare occasions, domestic flights between Kathmandu and Lukla may be delayed or canceled due to weather conditions. This can happen during any time of the year, and you can rest assured that Alpine Ramble Treks will work with you to make any possible alternative arrangements to minimize the interruption to your holiday.

Moreover,  the trekking times indicated Below are approximate and are best used as general guidelines. During the short Everest Base Camp Trek, you’ll be able to travel freely at your own pace. We also recommend arriving in Kathmandu at least one day before your scheduled itinerary begins; this will allow you to meet with our trekking team in advance to learn more about your planned activities. Staying in Kathmandu for one-two extra day for acclimatization if required, also it is helpful at the end of the itinerary and will also provide you with a more flexible schedule in the event that mountain flights between Kathmandu and Lukla are delayed due to weather.

Itinerary

Grab a window seat—and your camera! Our Everest Base Camp Trek begins with a captivating scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla: the gateway to the Khumbu. The sight of the icebound Himalayas spreading across the country beneath the wings of your plane is nothing short of jaw-dropping, and you can look forward to enjoying even more spectacular views over the course of the next few days. When we touch down in Lukla, we’ll meet up with the Sherpa people and get ready to hit the trail. Lukla is situated at an altitude of only 2,860 meters, and our first day of hiking on the Everest Base Camp Trek will serve as a gentle introduction to the more challenging days ahead.

From Lukla, we’ll ascend gradually to pass by a series of small mountain villages and hamlets before reaching the winding watercourse known as the Dudh Koshi river. We’ll cross a picturesque suspension bridge here and climb the opposite bank to reach the little town of Ghat, where the trail is lined with boulders and rocks carefully inscribed with Buddhist mantras. These are known as mani walls, and you should endeavor to keep them on your right as you pass by. Leaving the village behind, we’ll finally descend along quiet forested paths to reach today’s stopping point: the bustling settlement of Phakding. Each lodge on the Everest Base Camp Trek will provide for all of your meals and sleeping arrangements, and tonight is no exception. There are a handful of excellent trekking lodges here in Phakding, and we’ll select one of the best for our overnight accommodations.

  • Accommodation: Overnight at Azalia Hotel/Similar
  • Hiking Duration:3-4 hrs approx
  • Meals: Meals: Lunch +Dinner (Included)
  • Max Elevation: 2,852m/9,355 ft

After breakfast this morning, we’ll depart from Phakding and continue to follow the Dudh Koshi through a veritable wonderland of fragrant pine forest and cascading waterfalls. As we emerge from the wood, we’ll get today’s first glimpse of the marvelous Thamserku. The craggy peak of this snowcapped giant rises to 6,608 meters in altitude, and its appearance on the skyline really brings home the reality of trekking in the highest mountains on the planet. Moving on, we’ll pass a ticketing checkpoint and hike past a number of smaller villages before arriving at the town of Monjo. We’ll stop for a bite to eat or a cup of tea at one of the local lodges here before embarking on the second part of today’s journey.

From Monjo, our trail now enters the wilderness of Sagarmatha National Park. Sagarmatha is the Sanskrit name for Mount Everest, and that mountain dominates the landscape of this national park. But there’s a lot more to see here, including more than 200 species of bird and a few large mammals, like the Himalayan tahr and musk deer. As we tread beneath boughs of pine, juniper, and birch, keep an eye out for the beautiful flowers of the rhododendron—especially if you’re trekking during spring. Further on, a series of striking suspension bridges spanning the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers mark the final approach to Namche Bazaar. This is the commercial center and trading hub of the entire Khumbu region, and we’ll be staying at one of the best available trekking lodges here tonight.

  • Accommodation: Sakura Guesthouse/Alpine
  • Hiking Duration: 5-6 hrs approx
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner (Included)
  • Max Elevation: 3,4430m/11,280 ft

Today represents an important opportunity to let our bodies adjust to the increase in elevation. Namche Bazaar lies at an altitude of about 3,440 meters, so we’ll spend the day exploring the town and its immediate surroundings at our leisure. Visit the Sherpa Culture Museum to learn more about the history and traditions of these fascinating people, or simply browse the many stalls and shops peppered throughout town. Namche Bazaar is also famous for its bakeries, and you won’t want to miss the chance to dig into some fresh pastries while taking in the mountain views. If you’re feeling restless, you can also enjoy a short acclimatization excursion to Syangboche Airport. This is one of the highest airports in the world, and it isn’t used by any commercial airlines. You can also hike to the world-renowned Hotel Everest View, which boasts the best panoramic view in all of Namche Bazaar. After spending the day resting and exploring, you’ll return to your hotel for a second night.

  • Accommodation: Sakura/ Alpine Lodge
  • Hiking time: 2 hrs approx
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner (Included)
  • Max. Altitude: 3,438m/11,280ft

As we climb higher into the Himalayas on the third day of our Everest Base Camp Trek, you’ll really start to enjoy some remarkable mountain views. The first half of today’s hike will take us through tranquil rhododendron forests for about four hours before bringing us to Tengboche village. This community is perhaps best known as the home to Tengboche Monastery: the oldest and most important religious institution in the entire region. Its arched entrance is decorated with the traditional iconography of Tibetan Buddhism, and the gompa itself is framed against an eye-catching backdrop of icy summits, including the graceful arches of Khumbila and Ama Dablam. Inside the monastery, you may even have the opportunity to observe local monks performing their daily prayers.

After exploring the monastery and taking a brief rest, we’ll return to the trail and set out in the direction of Pangboche, which should take approximately two more hours. First, we’ll pass through the village of Deboche, where we’ll enjoy a splendid panorama of some of the Himalayas’ biggest peaks piled against the sky, including Thamserku and Ama Dablam. If we have some time to spare, there is a Buddhist nunnery here that’s well worth a look. Then we’ll take advantage of another suspension bridge to cross above the alpine waters of the Imja Khola River on the way to the mountaintop village of Pangboche. We’ll select a trekking lodge or teahouse with a view before settling down to dinner and watching the stars come out against the alpenglow of the Himalayas

  • Accommodation: Kailash/ Trekkers Lodge
  • Hiking Duration: 5-6 hrs approx
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner (Included)
  • Max. Elevation: 3990 m/14,677 ft

We’ll start the fourth day of our Everest Base Camp Trek with a hearty breakfast at our cozy teahouse before setting out. Today’s route rises above the treeline into a dry, arid landscape of rock-studded fields and meadows. We’ll pass through the river valley of the Khumbu Khola, hiking along a trail peppered with mani walls, prayer wheels, and the occasional rock mural. Eventually, we’ll come across the little Sherpa towns of Somare and Pheriche; we’ll stop in the latter to enjoy a magnificent view of the windswept valley capped with soaring Himalayan peaks. There are plenty of lodges and an important medical center in Pheriche, and many trekkers opt to spend the night here. We’ll take this opportunity to savor the view and enjoy a sit-down lunch before pressing on.

With Pheriche in our proverbial rearview mirrors, we’ll set our sights on the community known as Tukla, or Dughla. Many place names in the Himalayas can be spelled in several different ways, and it’s a good idea to acquaint yourself with a few of the possible variants in order to recognize signage along the trail. However we choose to spell it, we’ll reach the village of Tukla after approximately two more hours of trekking through herding settlements and glacial streambeds. On the final ascent to the village, we’ll catch a stunning glimpse of Cholatse, Taboche, and the ever-present Ama Dablam. We’ll enjoy a similar panoramic view from Tukla itself, where we’ll select a comfortable teahouse for tonight’s lodgings. Make sure to get plenty of rest—tomorrow is a big day on the trail to Everest Base Camp!

  • Accommodation: Thukla / Similar Lodge
  • Hiking Duration: 5-6 hrs approx
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner (Included)
  • Max. Elevation: 4620 m/15110 ft

If you thought yesterday’s views were unbeatable, wait until you reach the high-altitude lookout of Kala Patthar. We’ll rise early this morning to make this two-hour trip from Gorak Shep. The short climb will reward us with what’s probably the best viewpoint in the entire Himalayas—and certainly the best view of Everest itself. We’ll stand back and watch the sunrise over the peaks of Everest, Pumori, Thamserku, Nuptse, and Makalu, transforming their snowcapped summits into molten gold with the first flush of morning light. For lovers of alpine scenery, it really doesn’t get any better than this. After savoring the radiant spectacle in all its glory, we’ll hike back down to Gorak Shep to have breakfast at our lodge.

When it’s time to begin our return journey on the Everest Base Camp Trek, we’ll trek down the valley and come back to lower altitudes with surprising rapidity. As we walk across the frozen moraine of the Khumbu once more, we’ll quickly reach the bustling hub of Lobuche, pass the familiar climbers’ memorials, and continue beyond Tukla to reach the village of Pheriche. We’ll spend the night here in a local teahouse. If we have any daylight to spare, the community of Dingboche is only 30 minutes from town and is worth a short visit. Later tonight, we’ll enjoy dinner and memorable mountain views here in Pheriche before getting a well-deserved good night’s sleep.

  • Accommodation: Himalayan Lodge/Similare
  • Hiking Duration: 5-6 hrs approx
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner (Included)

The seventh day on our Everest Base Camp Trek will bring us back along the course of the Imja Khola and into the rhododendron forest before revisiting the community of Tengboche. This is about the halfway point on today’s trek, so it’s a good opportunity to take a break, grab a bite to eat, and see if any prayer ceremonies are currently underway at Tengboche Monastery. When we’re ready to move on, we’ll trek for approximately three more hours. First, we’ll descend to the Dudh Koshi River, and then we’ll make the final climb to Namche Bazaar. After catching our breath and resting our feet, we’ll settle in and have the afternoon at our leisure.

With more time to spend in Namche Bazaar today, you’ll get a better sense of this town’s importance to the Khumbu region. Namche Bazaar served historically as a trading hub and center of commerce, although now it’s better known as the heart of the Everest trekking industry. Take some time to explore the wide variety of markets, shops, bakeries, and internet cafes here in town, and make sure to check out the Sherpa Museum to learn more about these hardy mountain folk and their fascinating culture. As always, we’ll book accommodations at the best available trekking lodge, where we’ll enjoy a hot meal and a warm cup of tea as dusk settles over the Himalayas.

  • Accommodation: Alpine/ Sakura Guest House

After one last morning's breakfast in Namche Bazaar, it’s time to pack our things and begin the last leg of our journey. We’ll be descending to the Dudh Koshi this morning on the way back to Lukla, and it’s a surprisingly challenging section of the Everest Base Camp Trek. The steep grade of our descent to the river can be tough on our knees, so we’ll make sure to take our time. At the river, we’ll cross a suspension bridge before visiting and revisiting peaceful villages like Jorsalle, Monjo, and Phakding. We’ll arrive in Lukla after about six hours in total on the trail, and when that familiar town comes into view, you’ll know that you’ve successfully completed the Everest Base Camp Trek!

Alpine Ramble Treks has arranged an additional night here in Lukla for you. Most travelers don’t get to spend much time in this quirky little community, and it’s worth your time to explore everything that it has to offer. We’ll get checked in at a local lodge, sample authentic Americano coffee at a nearby café, sit down to a celebratory dinner, and bid a very fond farewell to the porters and members of our crew who have made this trek possible. If you’re in the mood to prolong your celebration, there are some lively bars and pubs in town, as well—just remember that you might have to get up early for tomorrow’s flight back to Kathmandu!

  • Accommodation: North-field Hotel
  • Hiking Duration: 5-6 hrs approx
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner (Included)
  • Max. Elevation: : 2,850m/9,350ft

Keep your eyes peeled for one last glimpse of the mighty Mount Everest from the window of your plane this morning. This is our final day on the Everest Base Camp Trek, and an aerial view of the Himalayas is a fine reward for all our efforts on the trail. When we return to Kathmandu, you’ll either remain at Tribhuvan International Airport for departure or be transferred to your hotel in the city, according to your travel arrangements.

If you’re interested in a cultural sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, Alpine Ramble Treks would be happy to set you up with a guide to explore some of the many UNESCO World Heritage sites here in the capital, including the Hindu temple of Pashupatinath and the famous “monkey temple” of Swayambhunath. We can also extend your trip to include a jungle safari in Chitwan National Park, a whitewater rafting excursion, or any number of other exciting adventure activities. When it’s ultimately time for you to depart, we’ll provide complimentary transportation to the airport. We look forward to welcoming you back to Nepal once again!

Please note: If you are a beginner and first time in the Himalayas then this itinerary might not suitable for you, please have some extra days to build the acclimatization or reduce the hike hours! The trekking times indicated above are approximate and are best used as general guidelines. During the Everest Base Camp Trek, you’ll be able to travel freely at your own pace. We also have the option to build an extra day into the itinerary to acclimatize, where needed.

Trip Info

Food for Everest Trek updated

As you venture to the very foot of the world’s highest mountain, you’ll be ascending into a wilderness of rock and snow, where even the trees give way to alpine meadows and glacial moraines.
But that doesn’t necessarily mean you have to give up all of your creature comforts! As a trekker, you’ll want plenty of food to stay energized at high altitudes, and teahouses in the Khumbu will be happy to meet your needs with a surprising variety of cuisine.

Each morning on the Trek, you can look forward to a selection of hearty and healthy options to kickstart your metabolism for a full day of hiking.

Your breakfast menu will feature familiar options such as oatmeal, French toast, muesli, cereal, hash browns, and just about every style of egg you could want. But you’ll also want to try Tibetan bread, or Gurung bread: pan-fried, puffy, and round, this tasty staple of the Himalayas is especially delicious with a bit of wild honey. Breakfast is also a good time to try chapati, a dry flatbread often served with cheese here in Nepal.

During our long days on the Everest Trek, we’ll often stop at a local village for a bite to eat at lunchtime. You’ll have the opportunity to sample regional specialties like Thukpa, a noodle-based soup that originated in Tibet but has evolved here to include chili powder and masala seasonings, according to Nepali tastes. You’ll also want to try dal Bhat, the famous standby of trekkers all over the country.

Dal Bhat is a dish comprised of lentil soup served with rice and seasoned with a variety of spices and herbs, and it’s typically offered in an all-you-can-eat fashion. If you prefer Western-style meals, you can also order sandwiches, potatoes, and even pizza for lunch.

For dinner, you’ll choose your meal from a menu that’s very similar to the options you had at lunch: Thukpa, dal Bhat, stews, pizza, and several varieties of curry. But every hiker on this trip should try momos at least once. These dumplings are a true Himalayan specialty, stuffed with meat or cheese before being steamed or fried to perfection. Enjoying a plate of momos and a hot mug of tea as the sun sets over the mountains is a quintessential trekking experience. For dessert, you can dig into some rice pudding, apple pie, or pastries—or simply munch on every hiker’s favorite snack: a Snickers bar.

Please note: while teahouse menus feature plenty of meat-based, non-veg dishes, it’s good to remember that most of these ingredients are flown from Kathmandu to Lukla and carried by porters into the mountain villages of Khumbu. Under these unrefrigerated conditions, meat-based dishes have the potential to upset your stomach. We also recommend avoiding alcohol and tobacco while trekking at high altitudes.

Water and drinks for the Everest Trek

With every meal on the Trek, you’ll be offered plenty of hot drinks. Teahouses earned their name for a reason, and you can expect to choose from black, mint, ginger, green, and lemon teas.

You can also look forward to coffee and hot chocolate. Many visitors are surprised to see hot mango or pineapple juice on the menu, but this common beverage offers all the refreshment of cold juice, along with the extra comfort that comes with drinking something warm as temperatures drop with our increasing altitude.

Of course, you’ll want to drink more water than anything else while you’re hiking the Everest Base Camp. Consuming between two and four liters of water each day will ensure that you stay hydrated during each day’s strenuous trek.

Many visitors stick to bottled mineral water, which is available at every trekking lodge and at various little shops in the villages we’ll visit during the trek. Each bottle costs between one and three USD, making it an affordable and safe way to stay hydrated.

However, disposable plastic bottles are a waste problem in the Himalayas, and many of our trekkers prefer to drink from reusable bottles. You can obtain water from local sources or village taps, but make sure to use water purification tablets or filtration devices, such as a LifeStraw.

Accommodation moods on Everest Trek

After each day of hiking at the Everest base camp, we’ll check into a local trekking lodge or teahouse. Teahouses are famous for their hospitality, and you can expect a delicious meal and comfortable accommodations every night.

This means that we can travel lighter, without carrying tents and heavy bedding. Teahouses usually have two or three beds in each room, outfitted with warm blankets, pillows, and firm mattresses.

And because we’re trekking in the mountains of the Khumbu, each teahouse is guaranteed to have a great view!

Travel Insurance for Everest Trek in Nepal

Travel insurance is an important safeguard for any visitor trekking in the mountains of Nepal. While Alpine Ramble Treks does not sell travel insurance packages, we would be happy to recommend some of our favorite providers.

When you purchase a travel insurance policy, be sure that it covers the following contingencies: emergency helicopter evacuation, medical treatment and evacuation, repatriation, trekking, and climbing.

You may need to purchase a higher tier of travel insurance in order to have these activities covered at a high altitude. For hiking to Everest base camp, we recommend securing insurance to cover your trekking activities up to 6,000 meters.

Fortunately, travel insurance policies are easy to purchase online, and you can compare coverage between packages quickly and easily.

Trekking under the protection of travel insurance will guarantee your peace of mind and protect you in the unlikely event that you need to file a claim.

Despite a lot of cloudy days, we were very happy with Alpine Ramble and the Everest Base Camp tour. Our guide Arpan was an excellent guide; he planned everything and took good care of us (including the customized pomegranate desserts). Dil was also very helpful and responsive in answering our questions. If you’re doing Base Camp, I’d recommend Arpan and the folks at Alpine.

I selected this company/trip since it was one of the few that went to base camp and back in under 10 days without flying back by helicopter (which is significantly more expensive). When I landed in Kathmandu, they picked me up from the airport and I met with Del the next day, he went over the trip, and let me know that I had the option to heli back like the other shorter trips if I wanted and arranged for me to get some last-minute supplies. For the actual hike, I was paired with Krishna, who was an amazing and well-experienced guide. We made it to base camp in about 4.5 days and he was checking up on me the whole time to make sure the altitude was causing too many issues. On our return day, we hiked to view the sunrise in the morning, and on the way back I asked to go back to ebc again since it was now clear and I wanted better pictures than the prior day. He accommodated this request and still ensured we remained on schedule. Lastly, when we got to Lukla, the airlines weren't running due to the weather. Both Krishna and Del worked extremely hard to find alternatives to get me to Kathmandu in time for my flight home. I couldn't be happier with this company and the people I worked with.

This is truly an unforgettable experience starting with Dil who was great at communicating and helped my wife and I feel very comfortable about organizing all our trip with their company. They truly know how to help every step of the way. For the actual trek we couldn’t have asked for a better experience and guide with Laxman. He helped every step of the way with his knowledge of the mountains, the food and how to make the experience very enjoyable. He became more than just a guide but a very good friend and introduced us to many new friends along the way. We believe that he was a great part in helping us make it all the way to the end with his positive outlook and encouragement. This trek is for very strong hikers and can be made possible by a great company like Alpine Ramble. I would greatly recommend them to anyone who would love to do the same.

My partner and I booked an 8 day trekking experience through Alpine Rambles. There are many trekking companies out there, but Alpine Rambles is the one to book with! Dil was our primary contact, and he always ensured that we were taken care of both before arriving to KTM and during our time in KTM. Laxman, our guide, accompanied us during our trek. He was always prepared for each trek day in our itinerary and swiftly handled last minute changes to our schedule. When I got sick during the trek, Laxman provided above average care and was prepared to adjust our schedule so I could recuperate and continue with our trek. Even our porters, Teeka and Kamal, were excellent additions to our team. Trekking to Everest base camp can be exhaustive, but our team through Alpine Rambles made our entire experience truly memorable. We highly recommend Alpine Rambles should you desire to trek to EBC!
