Our 12 days Homestay trek is a relatively moderate trek situated in the northern part of Kathmandu valley, it’s called Ganesh Himal region, next to the Annapurna region. Traveling to Ganesh Himal region as homestay trek you will be crossing a great viewpoint of this trek which is well known as Pangsang dada, Pangsang is situated at an altitude of 3700 meters high above the sea level from there you can see splendid mountains view of Annapurna, Manaslu, Langtang, and Ganesh Himal ranges. Moreover, trekking in Ganesh Himal, you can also witness the beautiful waterfall, saint gorge, dramatic landscape and lush forest of Rodhoedenron, oak, and pines along the way.

During the trek in the Ganesh Himal region is not everything with good facilities, meals and accommodations are very basic and simple standards, and the room is more likely common without toilet and shower. all the fresh food is prepared by firewoods on the typical local kitchen. come and join the trek with us, your homestay plans/ trip can support and increase the life of the poor people and local society in the mountain.

The 11 nights /12 days Ganesh Himal Homestay trek starts from Kathmandu with a 6/7 hours scenic drive to Syapurbesi then you will be following the beautiful villages of Gatlang, Somdang, Tipling, Chalish, Khading, Duchess, Arkhet and back to Kathmandu.

Trekking Season: The best time of the year for the homestay trek in Nepal is spring (March-May) and autumn (September - November) these months are the most popular seasons and offers beautiful views on the clear sky.

Personal Travel Insurance

We highly recommended a compressive travel insurance package to all our clients, the insurance must cover helicopter rescue and evacuation expense at Height altitude for the trekkers to Annapurna base camp, it will be assisted adequate protection tour to cover personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, and any kind of illness will be covered. Alpine Ramble Treks kindly ask for any of our travelers to send the reliable travel insurance copy through the email once you book the trip with us.  

Health and Fitness requirements 

It’s an exceptional trekking route for travelers who wish to enjoy and explore the Himalayas and beautiful landscape on this planet. As we hiking up to the high altitude than we have to prepare both by physically and mentality to succeed, our provision is making your trip reliable and remarkable without any problems in every step to step with your wealth health. Our first priority is your safety and security. you Should convenience yourself to take some pre-training course of the trek that would be easy, considering some physical exercise like jogging, running, climb stair-case, cycling, swimming and hitting gym etc.

Passport and Visa

All clients must have a valid passport with at least 6 months prior validity from return date Nepalese visas can be obtained from the immigration office or Consulate in your country or arrival in Kathmandu Airport.

Last minute booking

Concerning your desirable interested for any trip with us we even accept the last minute booking. You can book a trip directly by calling or sending a message anytime. But eventually, Last minute booking may not acceptable for Bhutan and Tibet trip.

Extra personal expenses on trekking

During the trek, all the food are included (Lunch, Breakfast, and Dinner with hot drinks) which will be provided by the company, behind the schedule of our package the meals and accommodations in Kathmandu will have to be arranged by yourself.

Pieces of equipment Checklists for Trekking

We Alpine Ramble Treks recommended carrying these following trekking types of equipment lists.

  • Daypack up to 40 liters,

  • Down Jacket, Seasons sleeping bag- the company will give 

  • Sun head or Gulf cap, Sunglasses, Headlamp 
  • Ear-muffs, Sun cream.
  • 1Pair liner gloves thin wool or synthetic.
  • 2/3 Cotton t-shirts 
  • 2Long sleeve polyester 
  • Softshell jacket water & wind resist. 
  • Bandana or headscarf, also useful for dusty conditions
  • A warm hat that covers your ears (wool or synthetic)
  • Sunglasses with UV protection
  • Polypropylene shirts (1 half sleeve and 2 long sleeves)
  • Fleece wind-stopper jacket or pullover
  • Waterproof (preferably breathable fabric) shell jacket
  • Down vest and/or jacket
  • 1 pair of lightweight poly-liner gloves.
  • 1 pair of Hiking shorts
  • 1 pair of Hiking trousers
  • 1 pair of fleece or woolen trousers
  • 2 pairs of thin, lightweight inner socks
  • 2 pairs of heavy poly or wool socks
  • 1 pair of Hiking boots with spare laces (sturdy soles, water resistant, ankle support, “broken in”)
  • 1 sleeping bag (good to -10 degrees C or 14 degrees F if going to the higher elevation above 5000m.
  • 1 medium rucksack (50-70 liters/3000-4500 cubic inches, can be used for an airplane carryon)
  • A small daypack/backpack for carrying your valuables should have good shoulder padding
  • 1 pair of mittens, consists of 1 Gore-Tex over mitt matched with a very warm polar-fleece mitt liner (seasonal)

Best Season

Best season for Annapurna Circuit Trek is spring (Marc to May) and autumn (September to November) these months are the best months for the Annapurna Circuit trek. The temperature is moderate in these seasons and we guarantee an amazing view and breathtaking scenery throughout the trek. If you wish to avoid crowds this trip during in winter (Dec., Jan. and Feb.) could also be the best options.
