Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory for all the clients who are going to participate in our Annapurna Base Camp Trek. We highly recommend a comprehensive travel insurance package to all our clients. The insurance must cover helicopter rescue and evacuation expenses at high altitudes for the trekkers to Annapurna base camp; it will be assisted by an adequate protection tour to cover personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, and any kind of illness will be covered.
Alpine Ramble Treks kindly asks any of our travelers to send a reliable travel insurance copy through email once you book the trip with us. Your travel insurance must cover personal accidents, medical expenses, emergency repatriation, and personal liability. Having good travel insurance will not only guarantee you peace of mind while you travel with us but also provide you with complete coverage for anything that may go wrong.
A Typical Day On The Trek
Every morning during the Annapurna Base Camp trek, you will be served a wake-up tea at about 6 am by our guide, and then we go to have breakfast with the stunning views.
Breakfast normally is served around 7 am, and the walk starts by 8 am. The walking will begin after the stretching and warm-up before we move on every day. Our daily walk is normally around 3-4 hours approximately, but it depends on your level of physical fitness, as well.
Lunch during the trek is usually held between 12 and 1 pm with a 40-minute duration; the fresh and hygienic lunch will typically be taken from the menu, which will be served as fast as possible with a cup of tea or coffee.
Dinner and Overnight camp, Soon we arrive at our camp (trekking lodge), and then we might take some rest before we go to dinner, but our guide and porter will be glad to serve a cup of tea in your room while resting, and we alert you for our dinner around 5-7:30 pm; the rest of the time, you may like to visit the places around or rest in the room.
At the termination of the day, our trekking guide encourages you to visit the local Sherpa settlements to know more about their culture and lifestyle in the Himalayas region while preparing the meals.
Every day our trekking will be nicely pleasured by the stunning scenery of Himalayan mountain views, taking the captivating photos and videos of untouchable mountains and exploring the mountain villages and their lifestyle, which can be the delighted moment.
Note: Every day, after dinner, our guide will be briefing us about the program the next day.
Physical Condition And Experience Requirements
The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a normal trek of the Annapurna region; it is possible to trek with a basic level of fitness. A good training plan before your Annapurna Base Camp trip will make it that much more enjoyable. It doesn’t require any climbing skills.
We have seen many different ages of travelers completing this trek, like old, young, overweight, and underweight, and they all are very much appreciative about the journey, as it is a non-technical trek that does not require crampons, walking poles, oxygen cylinders, ropes, and technical equipment.
But our company will provide the warm down jackets and sleeping bags if you do not have your own. A normal ABC trek is accessible to most trekkers who have some degree of fitness level and decent drive with a lot of stamina to last two weeks in the cold weather in the mountains.
If you could convenience yourself to take some normal pre-training courses like daily physical exercises, jogging, running, climbing the staircase and walking down, cycling, swimming, hitting the gym, etc., that would greatly help to accomplish the journey easier.
Accommodations
Alpine Ramble Treks will be accommodated in the best hotel-like 3-star categories with the good facilities of WIFI, hot shower, and AC room with the best breakfast services on the selection in Kathmandu, and all accommodations are provided on the twin-sharing basis.
The single supplement will be served if you are a single traveler. Accommodations during the trek in the mountains: basically, you will be staying at basic trekking lodges where you will have a nice and clean room with warm blankets, pillows, and comfortable mattresses (the mattress size cannot be very thick but is still comfortable).
All the facilities during the Annapurna Base Camp trek are not the same as Kathmandu but are still very pleasant and suitable. Do not expect everything to be at a high level of standards in the mountain.
Alpine Ramble Treks would be glad to ensure the attached bathroom in every possible place, even in the Annapurna region booking. In some places, you have to compromise in sharing a bathroom in a high-altitude area because there is no room with an attached bath that has been built in this high-altitude area.
NOTE: High-standard hotels in Kathmandu like 4-5 stars will be provided on your request on an extra cost basis
Meals
The Annapurna Base Camp trek is a well-established trekking route in the Nepal Himalayas where you can get numerous trekking lodges along the way in the whole journey, and basic meals are available in the trekking lodges on this route.
The meals are served by our company as per our inclusive way, which is included in this Annapurna Base Camp trek program. The foods are provided in the same tea house where you stay overnight, and no outside foods are allowed according to the rule and regulations of the local community, but you can simply take the normal snacks, water, and drinking stuff from outside as you wish, which are allowed.
To complete the 5/6-day base camp, food is one of the most important factors that you need for hiking in the Himalayas. The meal in this trek is very convenient and fresh except for meat items; usually, we take our breakfast and dinner at the same lodge where we stay and for the lunch, our trekking guide will choose the best place possible along the way.
Food during the trek: You will have full options to select your preferred meal items from the menu, which are provided by the local tea houses. The menu offers varieties of ethnic cuisines as well as western-style meals, including Sherpa stew, fresh vegetable items, Rara noodles, different soups, handmade bread items, rice items, spaghetti, pizza, eggs, potato items, apple pie, Dal Bhat, and various drinks like black tea, lemon tea, hot chocolate, ginger tea, milk coffee/tea, green tea, black coffee, and lemon ginger tea, which are available on the menu on this trek.
The meals are quite surprising on this trek compared to other trekking routes like Everest and the Langtang region of Nepal; all are selected items from the menu of the lodge and will be fresh, hygienic, and tasty. In some places, there are non-veg item meals available; however, we do not recommend taking these meat items in the Annapurna region, as they are not hygienic and healthy during the trek.
Fresh and healthy meals during the trek, like Dal Bhat, vegetable items, and soup items (garlic soup, potato soup, and onion soup with the food, ) are recommended. They are prepared by the local supplement and do not store for a long period to serve it.
