Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, the ART staff will welcome you and assist you with your transfer to the hotel, where you will stay overnight. You will be accommodated in one of the best available trekking lodges or hotels, with meals provided, including breakfast (B).

Today, we will explore the heritage and cultural sites of the Kathmandu Valley. Our guide will lead us through the area, and we will stay overnight at a comfortable hotel.

The journey from Kathmandu to Besishahar is approximately 176 km and takes around 6 to 7 hours. The drive is scenic, passing through the Trishuli and Marsyangdi rivers. Please note that the bus will stop along the way for lunch and restroom breaks.

We will drive to Chame, taking a jeep from Besishar. Today's drive follows the Marsyangdi Valley, passing through several picturesque mountain villages and beautiful green valleys. The route offers outstanding views of the majestic mountains while navigating the bumpy road.

This day trek begins by passing through local villages and beautiful ancient stone walls, surrounded by lush green pine forests and steep ravines on both sides. Along the way, you will catch a glimpse of Lamjung Himal on the vertical slopes. 

As you continue trekking, you'll arrive at an apple garden in Bratang. After crossing the river, you will ascend uphill, where you'll be treated to stunning views of the Himalayas, including Annapurna II and Pisang. Here, you will enjoy lunch while taking in the magnificent natural scenery.

Following lunch, you will trek for about an hour to reach Pisang village. Once there, you can take a short hike to Upper Pisang for a breathtaking sunset view and to explore the beautiful Tibetan monastery.

Today, you will leave the lush greenery behind as you trek uphill, enjoying more scenic and breathtaking views. After crossing the river, you will climb in a switchback manner up to Gyaru, where you will be rewarded with stunning mountain views of the valley below. The trek continues with beautiful scenery until you reach the typical Tibetan-style village of Ngawal. 

After lunch, a descent followed by a level walk will take you to Munji. From there, it's an easy hour’s walk to the village of Manang, where you will overnight at a lodge.

Today marks our Acclimatization Day in Manang. Based on your interests, we will decide what activities you'd like to pursue. You have the option of an easy and short hike, which involves crossing the river and walking uphill while enjoying views of the beautiful Gangapurna Glacier lake. As we climb further up to the viewpoint on the ridge, you will be able to see the Gangapurna glacier and the picturesque village of Manang. 

This trip will take approximately 3 to 4 hours for a round trip to these breathtaking areas. The trail ascends through buckwheat fields on a rugged path, taking us to a small monastery at the top. From this vantage point, you will enjoy stunning views of the Annapurna range, Tilicho Peak, Gangapurna, and the Manang valley.

After taking in the sights, we will descend back to Manang for the night. You will be accommodated in the best possible trekking lodge or hotel, where we will provide standard meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner (B+L+D).)

After having breakfast at the hotel, our trek will begin. We will climb a bit higher after crossing Manang village, then follow the upper route, which descends after a few steps down to the riverside. Next, we will cross a suspension bridge and walk through pine trees. After a few hours of walking in this beautiful area, we will arrive at Khangsar village, which is inhabited by Tibetan people. Here, we will take a lunch break before continuing our trek for an additional hour to Shiri Kharka. 

We will spend the night at a comfortable trekking lodge or hotel, which will provide us with quality meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner (B+L+D).

Today, we will start our hiking adventure to Tilicho Lake early in the morning after breakfast at the lodge. We will gradually climb to reach Tilicho Lake, which is the highest lake in the world. It is situated at the base of impressive 360-degree mountain views, making it one of the most spectacular lakes you can visit. After taking in the breathtaking scenery, we will descend.

Today, you will experience the breathtaking sunshine view along the legendary Himalayas. The trail gradually ascends through Phedi, a yak pasture, and continues on a level path through the scrub, crossing a river along the way. Eventually, you will reach Phedi, where we will spend the night.

Today marks a long and challenging day on our journey. The trek begins early in the morning, as we ascend uphill past the first tea shop, navigating rough and snow-covered ground all the way to the summit at 5,416 meters. At the top, you will find a Buddhist flag and a tea shop where you can enjoy hot drinks. If you walk an additional 20 meters, you’ll see a frozen lake at the base of the Throng Peak.

From this point, the trail descends steeply over a four-hour period, offering magnificent views of Mt. Dhaulagiri and other mountains, along with the Kaligandaki Valley leading to Muktinath. In Muktinath, you will have the opportunity to visit the Vishnu temple, the monastery, the 108 water taps, and the natural gas fire.

Today, the trail descends as we cross the suspension bridge, followed by a short trek along the Modi River. From Kyumi, the trail continues to ascend gradually, passing through villages. After a brief walk to Nayapul, it may seem like your trekking journey is complete, but you will then take a car ride to Pokhara. 

Once you finish your remarkable trip in the mountains, it's time to enjoy some western food in Pokhara and take a refreshing shower. You will stay overnight at a guesthouse. Since today marks the last day of the trek, there will be a farewell dinner with the trekking crew, and you will overnight at a hotel.

Food on the Annapurna circuit trekking route has a pretty wide selection of the food items on the tea houses/ trekking lodges menus which are originated and prepared by the local community, the most common meals of the region are as given below.

Common Breakfast options - Tibetan Breads (a fried bread in oil, it’s also named Gurung bread in the Annapurna area), Chapati with Cheese (dry bread- a local wheat bread), Oatmeal, French toast with jam, honey, and peanut butter, Corn Flakes, Hashed brown, fried, Scrambles and boiled eggs, pancakes, porridge with milk, Muesli, Vegetable items and any kind of hot drinks are available except espresso, Americano.

Common Lunch optionsdifferent variety of Thukpa (noodle soup), Dahl and Bhat (Nepalese local meal), Momos ( dumplings), Tibetan / chapati bread, Macaroni, Spaghetti, Sherpa Stew, a variety of soups, steaks, potato items, Sandwiches, Pizza, rice with curry, spring rolls, burgers and Pizza, yak steak and desserts items.

On the tea houses, the menu has plenty of non-veg items mentioned but officially any of the meats are not on our list of recommendations because the meat in the mountain such as high areas is not sanitary and healthy. However, we would like to persuade you to avoid taking meat, Alcoholic drinks, and smoking.

Water on Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho Lake

Water on a trek is available at every trekking lodge or shopping shop along the way, and buying a regular bottle of mineral water costs 1-3 USD per litter. Annapurna region has plenty of water sources to get the water as you can also refill the water from random taps or water sources; refilling waters from any of those sources is potable, but it will be fine to drink with a Lifestraw or using the water purification pills – at least 2-4 L water per day is recommended to drink that keeps you hydrated.

Accommodations

Accommodations on the mountain are simple in tea hoses/ Trekking Lodges. The rooms usually come in double occupancy with a wooden bed, blankets, mattresses, pillows, and attached bathrooms (not everywhere), and the view is spectacular from the rooms of mountain tea houses. Likewise, single rooms are available ( except Himalaya and ABC), and they will be provided for solo female travelers.

We will ensure and accommodate you to the best available tea houses with great views of the mountain and sceneries during the trek.

Best Time to trek

Choose the best month for your remarkable trekking experience of a lifetime! Nepal has five seasons, like many other countries: Spring, Summer, Monsoon, Autumn, and Winter. Among all these seasons, there are two distinct trekking seasons for any region treks in Nepal: autumn and spring.

Spring (Pre-monsoon) – Spring includes Feb, March, April, and May. The weather this month is largely stable and dry with a moderate climate. This time of the year is fairly perfect for trekking in the Annapurna region offers a crystal clear view of the mountains and sceneries every day, the Temperature can reach up to 15- 20 degrees Celsius in the daytime and the temperature the nighttime can drop down to - 8/12 degrees Celsius. The spring welcomes thousands of flora and vegetation that make the trek more beautiful and enjoyable in Nepal.

Autumn (Post monsoon)- Autumn is another great season for trekking on Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho Lake, Autumn includes the months of September, October, November, and December. During the autumn, the temperatures should be rated as between 14-20 degrees in the daytime, and nighttime can decrease to -5/10 degrees Celsius, it’s great for trekking.

Safety and Satisfactions

SAFETY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY- NOTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE SAFETY AND HEALTH OF OUR CLIENTS AND EMPLOYEES.

This trek is a guided trip, and you will be accompanied by one of the experienced and friendly trekking guides/ Sherpa who originally comes from the mountain (same region) of Nepal; the guide will be carrying all the essentials equipment with a first aid kit for safety reasons; we would like you to take some of your own personal mediation on this trek. However, in the emergency case, if our clients have any trouble with mountain sickness or any unforeseen circumstances, then we will always be standing by to send a rescue helicopter to bring our clients back to lower places or Kathmandu.

Note: During the trek, make sure you are always in the safe zone of the place wherever you are while trekking on the mountain because you may encounter a number of mules, yaks are carrying the suppliers for hotels, Yaks Donkey and Jokpa used for the major transportations in the Himalayas region, as we always need to be aware with them, and stay at the safe place, especially at the narrow section of the trail.

Passport and Visa

If you are traveling to Nepal you need to have a visa to enter Nepal. However, the arrival visa is available at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu where you can simply get an ``On Arrival Visa” and you must enter Nepal within six months from the visa issued date. Your total stay is counted starting from the day you enter Nepal.

You will be charged $40 USD as visa application fees for 30 days tourist visa to the forefingers except for Chinese and India. For those tourists who have Indian and Chinese passports then you do not need a visa (Free Visa)!

Extra personal expenses for trekking

During the trek, all your foods are included in the package (Lunch, Breakfast, and Dinner with hot drinks), the foods will be served as per the package program and besides that, any personal and Barbier bills would be extra.

Travel Insurance

For Safety reasons, Travel insurance is mandatory for trekkers participating in any trek and tour programs on the mountains. Getting travel insurance, especially while traveling in the mountain areas, is like security on which you can rely and enjoy your trip without any worries. We highly recommend getting good compressive travel insurance that covers things like emergency helicopter rescue and medical evacuation expenses. It will be an assisted protection tour to cover personal injury, injury, and repatriation expenses, and any kind of illness will be covered. Having good travel insurance will not only guarantee you peace of mind while you travel with us but also provide you with complete coverage for anything things that may go wrong.

Packing list

The following lists are the essential trekking gear that is recommended for trekking in Nepal and all listed gears can also be bought easily in Kathmandu, Kathmandu has a number of shops selling the necessary clothes and gear for trekkers.

  • Down jacket -( It will be provided by the company if you do not have your own)

  • Wash towel
  • Toiletries (wet tissue, quick-drying towel, toilet paper, moisturizers, lip balms, sunscreens, sanitary pads, hand sanitizer, nail clipper, small mirror, toothpaste & brush, etc)
  • Rain poncho

Transportations on Trek

Alpine Ramble provides all the necessary transportation for your trip, including free arrival and departure transportation services. On your arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by our airport representative with the traditional flowers, and then you will be reassigned to the respective Hotel. Similarly, we will also provide private vehicles for the city tour, like Kathmandu valley sightseeing, Nagarkot Sunrise view tour, or any other tour in Nepal, upon request.

Booking and payment process

Alpine Ramble Treks (P) Ltd. is a government-authorized and registered trekking and adventure operator based in Nepal. The company registered number is 178805/074/075. We are also associated with various local and international tourism associations, therefore, any adventure-interested persons are heartily welcomed to be booked and be part of our family now, we treat you as family members while traveling with us. We called mountain family, home away from home with us.

To process a trip booking with us, you're required to deposit 10 % of the full trip cost in advance to the prior time to make sure all the reservations, such as Hotels, guides, trekking permits, transportation, etc. The remaining payment can be easily made to us on your arrival by credit card or in cash - cash would be much appreciated. At the same time, we would also like to request that you send all the required documents, such as your passport, travel insurance copies, and flight details at the time of booking.

Last-minute booking

The last-minute booking can be made by any interested travelers a day before the trip gets started. Moreover, the payment should be made 100% if you are booking this for the last minute, and the booking can be made directly through the online form or by sending us an email, messages on WhatsApp, or by calling. However, Last-minute booking may not be acceptable for Bhutan and Tibet trips.
