Ganesh Himal Area also known as Ruby Valley is one of the virgin and less explored trekking route in Nepal.

This route is newly opened trekking trail provide excellent opportunity to walk through Gurung and Tamang villages, high passes such as Pangsang pass and Singla pass with opportunity to spend time with local people. Both home stay and camping trek option available on this trekking route as per your trek duration and budget.Ganes Himal in North west side of Kathmandu is main target of our trek. With this Langtang Himal and Manaslu Himal are included. Soaring waterfall of Ganga and Jamuna is very important. We are surrounded by attractive environment. We get full enjoyment trekking in ruby valley.

Syabrubesi is gate way of Ruby Valley. Just in five days our trek is completed. For five days we settle our night in Gatlang, Somdang, Tipling, Chalish and darkha villages. Most villages are of Tamang community. We can explore their local culture and tradition. Our first two day goes hard as we need to climb up hill. From the third day our trek goes easier. It will be very easy to walk down hill. Our surrounding is very beautiful. In this way our end point will be Dharka Phedi. We will drive back to Kathmandu. The last glimpses of Ganesh Himal from our bus will impress us so much.

Ruby valley is easy and short to walk. It is in category of moderate route. This route is favorable in month of February, March, April, September, October and November. Detail Itineraries

  • Day 01:Drive Sybrubesi – 8-9 Hours Drive We drive to Sybrubesi in the early morning by public bus. Sybrubesi is the gateway for the Langtang and Ruby Valley trekking trails, located on the bank of Langtang River. Enjoy a stunning view of Langtang Range along the route as we pass the Trushli River, Ramche Gaon and Dhunche Bazaar along a narrow and winding road. We will have dinner and overnight at a local lodge.
  • Day 02:Trek to Gatlang Village In the morning, we start the trek to Ghatlang Village, also located along the Tamang Heritage Trail. Tamang are native to Rasuwa region and are famous for their traditional culture, heritage and rituals. Explore the local village at your own pace. We will have dinner and overnight at a local lodge.
  • Day 03:Trek to Somdang Today, Today trek towards Yuri kharka through the trekking trail passing through Rhododendron and Pine Forest with a superb view of Langtang, we will have lunch at Kharka and we continue towards Khurpu Banjyang (3570m) passing the hill we descend down hills as we Following a downhill trail to the Somdang River, this is a border region for Rasuwa and Dhading Districts. You will enjoy the scenic view of Somdang Valley with en-route visit to Chukarma Waterfall, exceeding a length of 200 meters. Enjoy dinner and overnight at a local lodge and stone hut.
  • Day 04:Pasngsang pass The next day, the trek is one of the highlights of the entire trip as we follow wilderness topography and have an uphill climb to Pangsang Pass. Pangsang Pass has the best viewpoint to see a 270-degree mountain view of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Range and Manaslu Range. This area is a pocket-zone for herbal plants, which still are used making traditional Tibetan medicine. We will brief you about these rare herbs and their use by the local people. Enjoy the stunning sunset view from the Pass and the late evening or night will be enlightened by the sparking stars and full moon. Dinner and overnight will be at a stone hut.
  • Day 05:trek to Chalish Gaon Today, we will descend to Chalish Village, which is a cultural hub to witness the Tamang and Gurung communities. Pass several Mane and Buddhist Prayer flags along the route. We will be welcomed by the local people from the Mother and Father Development Community with traditional rituals. If we are lucky, we will witness a traditional Jhankari Shaman dance, which is influence by both Tibetan and Hindu culture. We will be staying with a local family to get an insight of the rural community, their traditional way of life and culture.
  • Day 06:Trek to Khading After having our morning breakfast at Chalish gaon than our journey starts onwards khading villages following the beautiful river valley with absolutely amazing scenery of nature. Today trek is about 4/5 hours to khading village. Khading is a one of the largest Gurung village in Ganesh himal region which offers an exotic ganesh view , brilliant Gurung culture, Gumba temples and great hospitality.
  • Day 07:Trek to Jharlang In the morning, we will trek down to Jharlang Village to visit a typical village located on the floor of the mountains. We will pass through Pine Forest, farmland and watershed areas. Our dinner and overnight will be at a local lodge.
  • Day 08:Trek to Dundre Khola and drive to Besi Sahar Today, we trek down to Dundra Khola and board a local jeep to Dhading Besi. We will have dinner and overnight at a local lodge.

Health and Fitness requirement

Ruby valley trek is moderate trekking destination for every trekker who loves to enjoy and explore the beautiful landscape on this planet. This trek basically starts from low land to high land as you are hiking in these areas than you have to fit yourself. We mainly concern your physical fitness to complete the journey.  The every day trek prefers 4/5 hours in day light. As you hiking up to the high altitude than you have to prepared by physically and mentality to be succeeding the trip, our provision is making your trip reliable and remarkable without any problems in every step to steps with your wealth health. Our first priority is safety for your entire trip. you Should convenience yourself to take some pre-training course of trek which could be great helped you, considering the some physical exercise like jogging, running, climb stair-case, cycling, swimming and hitting gym etc.

Passport and Visa

Every client must have a veiled passport from return date with at 6 month prior validity in Nepalese consulate in your country or immigration office Tribhuban airport in Kathmandu.

Meals and Drinking Water

In popular trekking areas like Annapurna, Everest, Langtang and Manaslu have menu system with different ethnic cuisines foods as well as western meals you can see on the Menu, you could pick up any kinds of meal as you like to eat from the Menu. But some places provide you typical Nepali meals which are different types of international meals. These are prepared by local supplement. Every tourist Lodge has well trained cook basically attention for clean, hygienic, fresh and nice testy foods. We can even enjoy hot chocolates; variety of breads, variety of drinks, and every lodge have safe drinking water or minerals bottles of water you could buy there. If you buy water purification tablet from Kathmandu you can take water from tap and purify by yourself this will be cheaper and controlled to plastic pollution as well.

The Ruby valley trek areas embrace the entire typical local villages of Ruby valley areas of Nepal. Future generations have just as much of a right to appreciate it as we do. Best Season

Best season is in spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) these months are the best time for this trip. The weather will be sunny and warm with outstanding scenery view. If you wish to avoid crowds this trip during in winter (Dec., Jan. and Feb.) could also be the best options.
