Mardi Himal trek is an as new most popular trekking destination in Annapurna region, opened in 2012. It’s absolutely an exciting route for travelers to explore in the Himalayas, offering an amazing viewpoint of Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre ( Fishtail), Manaslu and Annapurna range the trails lead us through the typical Gurung and Magar traditional villages, spectacular views, lush forests, breathtaking scenery and dramatic landscape view with wide range of snowcapped on the high region.  

A great short and sweetest trekking start after a few hours drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara a natural beauty city which is well known as a queen city of Nepal. Next day take a very short drive to our trekking starting point Phedi, trek goes through the Village of Dhampus, Deurali, and some other little villages along the way with a magnificent mountain view of Mardi Himal, Dhaulagiri, Machapuchare, Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. As we hike further up than we would see even closer view of Himalayas and snowcapped with dramatic landscape, a great trail will be leading us continually upwards in our destination of the trek, we would walk every day 4/6 hours on average, a journey goes passing through the breathtaking places like Koker 2550m, Lo Camp 3050m and High camp 3900m with Rhododendron forest.

Mardi Himal trekking route is a short and fairly new trekking destination in Annapurna region of Nepal, where we expect less trekker than other trekking routes of Nepal, while we traveling in this area we stay at teahouses and have an experience of local food and culture. A wonderful trekking destination provides massive Mountains View of including Annapurna, Machhapuchre, Hiunchuli and Mardi Himal. And thrill landscape.

  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m/4264ft), Overnight at Hotel.
  • Day 02: Drive to Pokhara (820 meters) about 7 hours, Overnight at Hotel.
  • Day 03: Drive to Phedi and trek to Deurali (2190m/6,722ft): 40 minutes drive, about 5 hours walk, Overnight at Lodge
  • Day 04: Trek to forest camp (2,515m/8060ft): about 6-7 hours walk, overnight at lodge.
  • Day 05: Trek to Lo-Camp (3035meter). about 5/6 hours walk, overnight at lodge.
  • Day 06: Trek to high camp (3538m/11,325ft): about 3/4 hours walk, overnight at lodge.
  • Day 07: Hike to upper viewpoint (4255m/13590ft), return back to high camp: about 2/3 hrs walk, overnight at lodge.
  • Day 08: Trek to Sidhing Village (1710m/5445ft): about 6/7 hours walk, overnight at lodge.
  • Day 09: Trek to Lumre and drive to Pokhara, 3 hrs walk and 2 hrs drive by taxi, overnight at Hotel.
  • Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu, overnight at Hotel.

Detail Itineraries

  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m/4264ft), Overnight at Hotel.Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International airport, you’ll be received by me our official representative then transfer to hotel at Thamel, Overnight at hotel. (B)
  • Day 02:Drive to Pokhara (820 meters) about 7 hours, Overnight at Hotel.we will have an early morning scenic drive from kathmandu to Pokhara through the Prithivi highway by tourist bus. Reaching the Pokhara we will go around visiting beautiful tourist town at lakeside areas, overnight at hotel. (B)
  • Day 03:Drive to Phedi and trek to Deurali (2190m/6,722ft): 40 minutes drive, about 5 hours walk, Overnight at LodgeAfter an early morning breakfast in our Hotel in Pokhara, we take a short drive to Phedi and start our adventure, our trail leads us through the breathtaking typical local villages and forests and we goanna walk on few stone steps, terraced fields. We would take our lunch on the way before reaching to our camp after having lunch our journey will go continually towards beautiful village of Deurali which is a small located on the top of small hill with good views of the Annapurna range, Mardi Himal and Macchhapuchhare. Overnight stay at lodge. (B+L+D)
  • Day 04:Trek to forest camp (2,515m/8060ft): about 6-7 hours walk, overnight at lodge.Today our hiking goes through lush forest dotted with the beautiful flowers trees of rhododendrons which is a national flower of Nepal. as we reaching our camp forest camp than we will take some good rest while exploring area and things. We stay overnight at Forest Camp. (B+L+D)
  • Day 05:Trek to Lo-Camp (3035meter). about 5/6 hours walk, overnight at lodge.Our trek will continually go through oak and dense forests admiring beautifully Nepalese culture and rich biodiversity along the way and we finally reach as a our Low camp, as we reaching this place we really surprised while seeing a fantastic view of Mt. Machapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail) and Mardi Himal even closer. The place is surrounded by stunning green valley and thrill mountains range. We stay overnight at low camp. (B+L+D)
  • Day 06:Trek to high camp (3538m/11,325ft): about 3/4 hours walk, overnight at lodge.Today our trail lead us even high region of valley as we hike alongside a ridge valley towards thrill mountain view of Machhapuchare and Mardi Himal. As we making our ascent continually towards the high camp the final destination of this trek we might see the Danphne pheasant ( the national bird of Nepal), once we arrive at high camp than we will observed the breathtaking view of mountain range with isolated valley of Annapurna region.   • Day 07:Hike to upper viewpoint (4255m/13590ft), return back to high camp: about 2/3 hrs walk, overnight at lodge.Today is a final day of our ascend while trekking in this region, after reaching to upper viewpoint than we descend, as we hiking on our way to the Upper view point today the trails is quite narrow and sometimes stepson the ridge, reaching the high camp the view is outstanding, from this point we can a stunning mountain view of Mardi Himal (5587m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna south (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Baraha Shikhar (7647m), Machapuchhre (6993m) and many other exotic peaks and we come back to high camp and stay overnight, (B+L+D)
  • Day 08:Trek to Sidhing Village (1710m/5445ft): about 6/7 hours walk, overnight at lodge.We are taking an exciting trek back to Sidhing villages; Siddhing village is less crowded and outstanding village t spend a night with glorious view of green valley, we stay overnight at lodge. (B+L+D)
  • Day 09:Trek to Lumre and drive to Pokhara, 3 hrs walk and 2 hrs drive by taxi, overnight at Hotel.Today is our final trek day. We take an early morning breakfast at same tea house here and walk towards Lumre village and take a taxi to Pokhara from here.as we reaching Pokhara than we will take a nice room and tie to refresh after long day travel in mountain and in the evening, after having rest and time to explore the beautiful city pokhara and boating in Phewa lake. And your guide will recommend you to go a nice place for dinner to celebrate the successful completion of our 10 days Mardi Himal trekking with Alpine Ramble, Overnight at Hotel. (B)
  • Day 10:Drive back to Kathmandu, overnight at Hotel.after early breakfast we drive to Tourist bus station and take a tourist bus to Kathmandu on the Prithivi highway while seeing a white river rafting in Trsiuli River. reaching Kathmandu we go to hotel and drop off everything than meet you in evening to celebrate the successful completion our Mardi Himal trek and time to have a good food in Farewell dinner with a team members. Personal Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is compulsory for all the Clients undertaking any activities. It will be provided adequate protection tour to cover personal injury, death, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, helicopter rescue, and any kind of illness will be cover in the insurance package. Alpine Ramble strongly recommends you to buy an insurance package through a reliable insurance company in your city or country.

Health and Fitness requirement

Mardi Himal treks are moderate trekking destination for every trekker who loves to enjoy and explore the beautiful landscape on this planet. This trek basically starts from low land to high land as you are hiking in these areas than you have to fit yourself. We mainly concern your physical fitness to complete the journey.  The everyday trek prefers 4/5 hours in daylight. As you hiking up to the high altitude than you have to prepared by physically and mentality to be succeeding the trip, our provision is making your trip reliable and remarkable without any problems in every step to steps with your wealth health. Our first priority is safety for your entire trip. you Should convenience yourself to take some pre-training course of the trek which could be greatly helped you, considering some physical exercise like jogging, running, climb stair-case, cycling, swimming and hitting gym etc.

Accommodation during the Trek

Accommodation in Kathmandu, you would be staying in best hotel basically on 3 stars, on twin-sharing basis. But Accommodations in trekking  is simple and comfortable beds room with sharing two persons sometime  if you are single you get single bedroom as well with hygienic food, Every trekking routes have fixed menu and hotel system by local management community at in the area

Passport and Visa

Every client must have a veiled passport from return date with at 6-month prior validity in Nepalese consulate in your country or immigration office Tribhuvan airport in Kathmandu.

Meals and Drinking Water

In popular trekking areas like Annapurna, Everest, Langtang, and Manaslu have a menu system with different ethnic cuisines foods as well as western meals you can see on the Menu, you could pick up any kinds of a meal as you like to eat from the Menu. But some places provide you typical Nepali meals which are different types of international meals. These are prepared by a local supplement. Every tourist Lodge has well-trained cook basically attention for clean, hygienic, fresh and nice testy foods. We can even enjoy hot chocolates; a variety of pieces of bread, a variety of drinks, and every lodge have safe drinking water or minerals bottles of water you could buy there. If you buy a water purification tablet from Kathmandu you can take water from the tap and purify by yourself this will be cheaper and controlled by plastic pollution as well.

Lower Body-Legs. 
a. 1Pair nylon hiking short paints, 1Pair cotton paints.
b. 1Pair soft shell pants – synthetic, full zip from top and bottom preferable.

Feet 
a. 2Pair of loner socks, synthetic, 1Pairs woolen socks wearing on the evening and 1Pair light sports shoe.

b. Imodium or Pepto Bismo capsules for upset stomach or diarrhea. 
c. Diamox for altitude sickness. The guide will help you to take it.
d. 1Small personal sized first-aid kit with blister treatments such as moleskin, bands, Anti-infection ointments, etc. First Aid Kits. 
e. Alpine Ramble will provide you more medical for the trip.

The Kopra Ridge trek areas embrace the entire Annapurna region. Future generations have just as much of a right to appreciate it as we do. Best Season

Best season is in spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) these months are the best time for this trip. The weather will be sunny and warm with outstanding scenery view. If you wish to avoid crowds this trip during in winter (Dec., Jan. and Feb.) could also be the best options.
