Overview

Chitwan Jungle Safari is an excellent short tour offering many fantastic activities such as an elephant bath, jungle, nature walk, canoe ride in Rapti River, jeep safari, elephant breeding center, and many more. And much more. During the Zip or Elephant safari, you can see rare wild animals like one-horned rhinoceros, deer, leopards, Royal Bengal tigers, pythons, majestic elephants, rhesus monkeys, crocodiles, grey langur, brilliantly colored birds, and many more varieties of mammals, birds, reptiles, and water animals throughout the tour and safari. In the evening, you can also enjoy the fascinating cultural dance of the Tharu people, called Tharu Dance.

We have a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Sauraha by tourist bus which departures every day at 7 am from the tourist bus station (Sorkhutte) Kathmandu, if you have a limited time and want to avoid a long bus ride then a flight from Kathmandu to Bharatpur is available as it takes only 25 minutes to reach there. On our arrival at Sauraha last bus station or Bharatpur Airport, one of our crew will receive us and transfer to the Lodge where we will be offered refreshment & be given a briefing on our Hotel or Lodge & its facilities and program’s activities. After being given your programmers for the day in Sauraha, your room will then be allocated to you.

13.00: Lunch

15.00: Jeep or Elephant Safari. An excellent opportunity to see Leopard, crocodiles, four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, bore, monkey, leopard, sloth bear, and the Royal Bengal Tiger (If you are lucky). You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home

19.00: Tharu cultural dance presentation (which you will also participate in) by the local villagers or Slide show presentation on almost everything under the Chitwan

20.00: Dinner


    06.00: Wake up call

    06.30: Breakfast

    07.00: Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and lifestyle

    09.30: Departure for onward journey
