Dawa has six years of experience working in the Everest region. He started his career as a porter, gaining four years of valuable experience on the trails before progressing into a full-time trekking guide, a role he has successfully undertaken for the past two years.
What makes Dawa particularly well suited for your trek is his deep connection with the Everest region. He was born and raised in the area, so he has an excellent understanding of the local trails, villages, weather patterns, terrain, and the challenges of trekking at high altitude. His experience around the Everest, Gokyo and high-pass areas has given him a strong practical knowledge of the region.
Although Dawa is relatively new as a fully qualified guide, we consider him one of our best emerging guides. He has demonstrated excellent dedication, responsibility, patience, and a genuinely caring approach toward our guests. His previous experience as a porter has also given him a valuable understanding of the physical demands of trekking and the importance of taking care of guests, luggage, accommodation, and logistics throughout the journey.
Since joining Alpine Ramble Treks as a guide, Dawa has consistently impressed us with his hard work, positive attitude, professionalism, and commitment to guest safety and satisfaction. He is particularly well suited to travelers who prefer a supportive and flexible trekking experience rather than a rushed, package-style approach.
