Accommodation On Trek

Everest region is well-established trekking route of Nepal where you will be sleeping at basic tea houses, it comes to a room with a normal bed, nice and warm matrics, pillows, small tea table, comfortable blankets and bathroom (not entirely) some time you have to share a bathroom with others. Below the Dingboche, there are mountain stars hotels as well which called  Yeti Moutain Home, so this hotel has a super deluxe warm and clean room with a private shower and bathroom, if you are interested in our mountain luxurious then it can be easily provided at an extra cost.  

What meals/Foods expect to eat in the Everest region

Foods are one of the most important factors of the journey, it doesn't matter where we are and what we do! Nepal has a variety of local meals which you can be tested even in the Everest region. Basically, the food in the Everest region is not bad, all the hotel association of Everest region has prepared the menu for each hotel and restaurants where you could simply pick up any meals from your current hotels, the taste might be a little bit different than what you used to get but you won't be disappointed not having the items one that you wanted to eat in this area. 

If you are interested in local meals, you can try Dhal Bhat, but Everest is popular with a local Sherpa Stew, but you can also find the meat items barely which are not recommended at least in the mountain.

Detail Itineraries

  • Day 01:Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2610m) and 3/4 hrs trek to Phakding (2810m).Our guide will come to pick you up at your hotel early in the morning then take a short drive to the domestic airport and take off our scenic plane ride to Lukla. Lukla is the gateway of Everest region treks. We are now in the land of Sherpa people; we will meet and introduce our crew who will carry your luggage's entire trek. The trek starts from Lukla with a 2 hours acclimatization and tea stop, followed by the downhill stroll and Dudh Koshi River, passing through the Sherpa villages of Chhupulung, Ghat and then reaches Phakding. The trail offers some majestic and alluring views mountains and beautiful landscapes where you will see Tibetan words carved in rocks and multi-color Buddhist flags are hanging around the mani walls it makes the trek more exciting, We will be sure to let the Yak trains pass safely, overnight at the lodge.

  • Day 02:Trek from Pahakding to Namche 3,450m/11,315ft- 6 hrs walk.Today we head off from Phakding than after the scenic trail will continue along Dudhkoshi River, we are ascending through rhododendron, giant fir, Himalayan pine and cedar forest viewing first beautiful mountain of Kusum kangaroo and Thamserku. The trail is blooming. We cross the high suspension bridges and then we are while climbing through the dense forest than pass the viewpoint where we can see first Mt. Everest view. As you arrive Namche Bazaar a town with set in an arena with seeing beautiful mountains surrounding the town. In the afternoon go to the market area lively scene to explore, Overnight at lodge.

  • Day 03:Trek from Namche to Tengboche 3,860m/12,677ft- 4/5 hrs walk.After enjoying early morning breakfast at our lodge, we will begin our trek to Tengboche, the trek starts with the ridge trail and flat level mountain path that offers excellent panoramas of Thamserku, Kantega, and Kusum Kangrum, Ama- doblum, Lhotse, Everest and many other snowy capped, after walking few hours on flat meander; we descend to the river and arrive at Phunki Tenga for lunch, then after lunch we climb through lush Rhododendron and pine forest to the Tengboche monastery ( The highest monastery in the world), we enjoy the 360 degrees view from here and check into the lodge. After checking the room we will have time to walk around the Monastery and take the photography overnight at lodge.

  • Day 04:Trek from Tengbuche to Dingboche 4,410m/14,485ft- 4/5 hrs walk.We continue trekking up hills the trail leads towards through Namche with the view of the landscape and snow-capped mountains. Then we drop down to cross the Dudkoshi river than we will ascent again right cross the river through suspension bridge steep ascending start to walk through into the rhododendron forest to Tengboche Monastery at the end top. This is one of the spiritual vital carrying Buddhist monasteries in the Khumbu region and an evening or in the morning watch fantastic sunset or sunrise over the panoramic mountain, overnight at lodge.

  • Day 05:Trek from Dingbuche to Lobuche 4,910m/16,105ft- 4/5 hrs walk.Today morning we pray in Monastery before we have breakfast after back we will have a beautiful breakfast with seeing the sunrise on Mt. Everest and surrounding peaks. Then we head off descending through jungle some time spotting the musk deer, mountain gout and monkeys on the way, then cross the Imja Khola whose valley now we follow ascending steadily to reach Pangboche. Then the trail goes through a Yak pasture known as Somare then now we are leaving trees behind us and cross a wooden bridge at the confluence of Khumbu Khola and Imja Khola. The trail continues a short climb up brings us to Dingboche. Perhaps today most is an interesting trek day because of incredible Ama Dablam and Mt. Everest. Overnight at lodge.

  • Day 06:Trek from Labuche to Everest Base Camp and back to Gorkshep 5,185m/17010ft- 4 hrs walk.Today is the most exciting and long-awaited day. Leaving from Lubuche the trail leads flat meadow for while then following the Khumbu Glacier northwards and short climbing up. Then the trail climbs onto the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier to Gorak Shep. The path provides the superb view of massive Khumbu Glacier and trans-Himalayas. Upon our arrival at Gorak Shep check in the room then after lunch we walk to Everest Base Camp. The trail continues on the moraine of Khumbu glacier and path often change on the season because of melting of the glacier. Once we reach Base Camp, we take a photograph then retracing to Gorakshep. Overnight at lodge.

  • Day 07:Hike from Goraksep to Kalapather 5,545m/18,187ft – Pariche 4,250m/13,940ft- 5 / 6 hrs walk.Wake up early morning today then 2hrs climbing-up bring us at Kalapathar on the bottom of Mt. Pumori. From Kalapathar we see the sunrise on the majestic Himalayas in 360º degree including Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lola, Khumbutse, Ama Table, Tabuchi, Cholatse, Thamserku and numerous other peaks with the excellent views of Everest Base camp and Khumbu glacier. Then have breakfast after that continue to walk through the moraine of Khumbu glacier and passing Lobuche, we descend back down beautiful valley to Pheritse, Overnight at lodge.

    Overnight we will be accommodated at the best possible trekking lodge/ hotel with standards meals including breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner ( B+L+D).
  • Day 08:Trek from Labuche to Namche 3,450/11,315 ft 6hrs walk.The trail leads descending passes through the beautiful Sherpa villages and we get the bank into Dudkosi River then after cross the river trail goes into the forest via Dingboche after that climbing up to Tengboche. Then descending through the rhododendron forest cross the river continues to walk up to Kanjuma then easy walk with great views of Ama Table to Namche Bazaar, Overnight at lodge.

    Overnight we will be accommodated at the best possible trekking lodge/ hotel with standards meals including breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner ( B+L+D).
  • Day 09:Trek Namche to Lukla 2,850m/9,350ft- 6 hrs walk.We go through Namche village then descend in the forest to Jors sale. The trek continues goes along the Dudh Koshi River, passing the small village on the way then to the small mountain airstrip at Lukla. Overnight at lodge.

  • Day 10:Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu 35 minutes by air and transferred to Hotel.Today we have the scenic flight back to Kathmandu, Upon arrival at Kathmandu. And drive to the hotel. Then take a rest or shopping for family and friends. We have a farewell dinner at Thamel, overnight at hotel.

We strictly prioritize of our valuable client’s safety and satisfaction while traveling with Alpine Ramble Treks. Your safety is our paramount concern for us. In every trip with ART, our guides and porters will be carrying useful and necessary equipment as well as the medical kit, you will be provided by our leaders who have extensive knowledge of the first aid if required. However, during the trip; natural disasters, weather disturbances, health conditions, politics, transport or a multitude of other factors, that are beyond our control and it can result in a change of originally planned itinerary or cancel the trip as a safeguard. However, our guide has full authority to alter or even drops the planned itinerary of any part if it is necessary due to safety concern. On this circumstance, you need to be flexible with your planned itinerary and take after the guideline as instructed by your guide/ leader. Note:- we do everything we can to minimize its effect, but we won’t be responsible for any result of alterations on itineraries or any delays due to unexpected circumstances

Personal Travel Insurance

We highly recommended a compressive travel insurance package to all our clients, the insurance must cover helicopter rescue and evacuation expense at Height altitude for the trekkers to Everest base camp, it will be assisted inadequate protection tour to cover personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, and any kind of illness will be covered. Alpine Ramble Treks kindly ask for any of our travelers to send the reliable travel insurance copy through the email once you book the trip with us.  

Health and Fitness requirements 

Everest Base Camp Trek is an exciting and spectacular moderate trekking destination in the world. It’s an exceptional trekking route for travelers who wish to enjoy and explore the Himalayas and beautiful landscape on this planet. This trek starts from low land to high land as you are hiking in these areas than you have to be fit both physically and mentality by yourself.  Every day trek prefers about 4/5 hours approx. As you hiking up to the high altitude than you have to prepare by physically and mentality to succeed the trip, our provision is making your trip reliable and remarkable without any problems in every step to step with your wealth health. Our priority is your safety and security entire the trip. you Should convenience yourself to take some pre-training course of the trek that would be easy, considering some physical exercise like jogging, running, climb stair-case, cycling, swimming and hitting the gym, etc.

Accommodation during the Trek

Accommodation in Kathmandu, you would be staying at the best hotel 3-4 stars, on the twin-sharing basis. But Accommodations in trekking is very basic where you will get the room with pillows, warm and nice blanket, attach bathroom if it’s available with comfortable beds during the 12 days Everest base camp trek,  if you are single you get single bedroom as well with hygienic food, The Menu for food and accommodation have  fixed by local management community.

Passport and Visa

All clients must have a valid passport with at least 6 months prior validity from return date Nepalese visas can be obtained from the immigration office or Consulate in your country or arrival in Kathmandu Airport.

Last-minute booking


Concerning your desirable interested for any trip with us we even accept the last minute booking. You can book a trip directly by calling or sending a message anytime. But eventually, Last minute booking may not acceptable for Bhutan and Tibet trip.

Meals and Drinking Water

The Everest base camp trek route has numerous tea houses along the way and every single tea houses has the menu system with different ethnic cuisines foods as well as western meals on the Menu; you could pick up any kinds of a meal as you like to have during the trek, we would highly recommend the vegetable items instead of Meat because meat in the mountain can be effected some time because it may not be used to it for the new travelers in this region. But some places provide you with typical Nepali meals which are different types of international meals. These are prepared by the local supplement. Every tourist Lodge has well-trained cook attention for clean, hygienic, fresh and nice testy foods. The variety of drinks and every lodge have safe drinking water or minerals bottles of water you could buy. If you buy a water purification tablet from Kathmandu you can take water from the tap and purify yourself this will be cheaper and help to control the plastic pollution as well. The water you could buy everywhere in the Everest region at a reasonable price but the price would go high when you go to high altitude areas. We also recommend you to buy boiled water instead of cold which keeps your body warm.

Extra personal expenses on trekking

During the trek, all the food are included (Lunch, Breakfast, and Dinner with hot drinks) which will be provided by the company, behind the schedule of our package the meals and accommodations in Kathmandu will have to be arranged by yourself.

Possible Flight Delay in Kathmandu and Lukla: 

Sometime, the flights (To Kathmandu from Lukla) may be canceled due to the changing in unpredictable weather conditions around in the mountains. In such conditions, we Alpine Ramble Treks kindly request all the travelers to make a plan while putting at least 2/3 possibility spree days for the Everest Base Camp trek. In such a case, we will charter a Helicopter to secure you are on schedule for your international flight. The helicopter can easily fly up to 1500m visibility.  You will be given cancellation of domestic flights and a receipt upon payment of Helicopter so that you may claim the amount from your travel insurance (Travel insurance is mandatory before joining Everest Base Camp Trek)

Best Season

Best season for Everest Base Camp Trek is spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) these months are the best months for the Everest base camp trek. The temperature is moderate in these seasons and we guarantee an amazing view and breathtaking scenery throughout the trek. If you wish to avoid crowds this trip during in winter (Dec., Jan. and Feb.) could also be the best options.
