Kopra Ridge Trek is one of the exotic short trekking routes in Annapurna region which is located away from very busier and crowded trails but provides same remarkable views of the Himalayas including excellent panoramic mountain views of Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, and Annapurna south, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Himchuli and many other peaks. And another main attraction of this trek is the holy Kaire Lake, which is a beautiful lake of these areas.

This trek also includes one of the fabulous viewpoints Ghorepani Poon hill trek which is the greatest place to see a breathtaking sunrise view on the top of Himalaya. The Kopra Ridge excursion begins from beautiful city Pokhara after 6 hours scenic drive from Kathmandu, next day after 1 hour another scenic drive from Pokhara to Nayapul than officially trek starts from here than trail follows onwards beautiful Kaligandaki river valley through the Magar villages towards up hills. After Tadapani trail leads us to along the remotes area for few days while spending time with the local community lodges. This trip is very suitable for visitors who really wish to enjoy the delightful unique culture and an amazing view of Annapurna and many others mountains as well as breathtaking landscape.

Outline Day to Day Itinerary:

  • Day 01: upon arrival in Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel.
  • Day 02: Drive to Pokhara by tourist bus (7/8 hours), overnight at hotel.
  • Day 03: Pokhara to Nayapul by taxi (1hours drive) than 3 ¾ hours trek to Tikhedunga, overnight at lodge.
  • Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani (2640m- 4/5 hours walk), overnight at lodge.
  • Day 05: Trek to Swanta (2270m-3/4 hours walk), overnight at lodge.
  • Day 06: Trek to Dhan Kharka (3020m-4/5 hours walk), overnight at lodge.
  • Day 07: Trek to Kopra Dada (3620m- 3/4 hours walk), overnight at lodge.
  • Day 08: Trek to Bayeli (4520m- 5/6 hours walk), overnight at lodge.
  • Day 09: Trek to Tadapani (2830m- 7/8 hours walk, overnight at lodge.
  • Day 10: Trek to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara (4 hours walk than 1 hours drive), overnight at hotel.
  • Day 11: Drive back to kathamndu by Delux tourist bus (200km-7/8 hours drive), overnight at hotel.

Detail Itineraries

  • Day 01:upon arrival in Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel.Upon your arrival in Kathmandu airport than you will be picked by our represantive team than transfer to hotel.
  • Day 02:Drive to Pokhara by tourist bus (7/8 hours), overnight at hotel.Today we have early breakfast in the morning at our hotel than we start walking about 5 minutes to bus station than after we take a bus ridge to Pokhara, a scenic drive on the prithivi high way to pokhara makes our journey more fabulous while seeing the beautiful white water rafting in Trisuli River.
  • Day 03:Pokhara to Nayapul by taxi (1hours drive) than 3 ¾ hours trek to Tikhedunga, overnight at lodge.Our trekking starts today from Nayapul after an hour drive again through the beautiful hills from our hotel pokhara. This trek basically starts from here onwards as we following on the routes; the trail leads us eventually outstanding green views with magnificent mountain range along the way. After hiking few hours short trip today than we reach to Tikhedunga which is small but gorgeous town lies on the river side, over night we stay at lodge with beautiful traditional meals.
  • Day 04:Trek to Ghorepani (2640m- 4/5 hours walk), overnight at lodge.Today we ascent more than 900 meters to Ghorepani, our hiking will be started as we finished morning breakfast at the lodge, while after having breakfast than we start gently climb on the hills to Ulleri which is situated at 2350 meters mainly this village is Magar settlement and place lies on the top of the hills the place has surrounded by green valley. And this is a place of first view point of Annapurna and Machhapuchhare himal. Really cool place to have tea break and enjoy the scenery after beautiful tea stopped than our journey follows continually towards Ghorepani walking through the gain forest and beautiful nature. As we reach Ghorepani we have enter the check post to check ACAP permits and TIMS cards than we enjoy the view from our lodge. Ghorepani is one the best view point to see whole range of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.
  • Day 05:Trek to Swanta (2270m-3/4 hours walk), overnight at lodge.
  • Day 06:Trek to Dhan Kharka (3020m-4/5 hours walk), overnight at lodge.
  • Day 07:Trek to Kopra Dada (3620m- 3/4 hours walk), overnight at lodge.
  • Day 08:Trek to Bayeli (4520m- 5/6 hours walk), overnight at lodge.
  • Day 09:Trek to Tadapani (2830m- 7/8 hours walk, overnight at lodge.
  • Day 10:Trek to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara (4 hours walk than 1 hours drive), overnight at hotel.
  • Day 11:Drive back to kathamndu by Delux tourist bus (200km-7/8 hours drive), overnight at hotel.

Health and Fitness requirement

Kopra Ridge trek is moderate trekking destination for every trekker who loves to enjoy and explore the beautiful landscape on this planet. This trek basically starts from low land to high land as you are hiking in these areas than you have to fit yourself. We mainly concern your physical fitness to complete the journey.  The everyday trek prefers 4/5 hours in daylight. As you hiking up to the high altitude than you have to prepared by physically and mentality to be succeeding the trip, our provision is making your trip reliable and remarkable without any problems in every step to steps with your wealth health. Our first priority is safety for your entire trip. you Should convenience yourself to take some pre-training course of the trek which could be greatly helped you, considering some physical exercise like jogging, running, climb stair-case, cycling, swimming and hitting gym etc.

Passport and Visa

Every client must have a veiled passport from return date with at 6-month prior validity in Nepalese consulate in your country or immigration office Tribhuvan airport in Kathmandu.

Meals and Drinking Water

In popular trekking areas like Annapurna, Everest, Langtang, and Manaslu have a menu system with different ethnic cuisines foods as well as western meals you can see on the Menu, you could pick up any kinds of the meal as you like to eat from the Menu. But some places provide you typical Nepali meals which are different types of international meals. These are prepared by the local supplement. Every tourist Lodge has well-trained cook basically attention for clean, hygienic, fresh and nice testy foods. We can even enjoy hot chocolates; a variety of pieces of bread, a variety of drinks, and every lodge have safe drinking water or minerals bottles of water you could buy there. If you buy water purification tablet from Kathmandu you can take water from the tap and purify by yourself this will be cheaper and controlled by plastic pollution as well.

b. Imodium or Pepto Bismo capsules for upset stomach or diarrhea. 
c. Diamox for altitude sickness. The guide will help you to take it.
d. 1Small personal sized first-aid kit with blister treatments such as moleskin, bands, Anti-infection ointments, etc. First Aid Kits.

Best Season

Best season is in spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) these months are the best time for this trip. The weather will be sunny and warm with outstanding scenery view. If you wish to avoid crowds this trip during in winter (Dec., Jan. and Feb.) could also be the best options.
