However, in the early days of March, you will likely experience fresh snowfall during the trek, but mostly the days have a clear sky and offer outstanding views of the Himalayas and its landscape.

As you go higher you will feel a different temperature than the lower region. The temperature can reach up to 18-degree Celsius in the daytime, and at night could be drop-down to -15to 20 degrees Celsius.



April is the second-best month of the spring season for the Everest Base Camp trek. The atmosphere in the month of April is warmer at the lowest part of the trail and sort of moderate at a higher elevation.

Of course, in the month of April people love to venture, especially huge numbers of climbers who appeal to climb the mountain during this month. However, this month is fairly good for both climbing and trekking to Everest.

Another season in Nepal for trekking is spectacular, during the months of autumn (Sep-Nov) to visit Nepal is that you will have clear visibility to enjoy the views of the Himalayas and its landscape.

September is the beginning of the month of the Autumn season, which means one can witness a clear blue sky, mesmerizing mountains, and amazing vegetation.

Normally, the climate is friendly, cool, and mild temperature, which welcomes a lot of adventure trekkers & travelers to visit Nepal for the Everest base camp trek as well as many other treks in the Himalayas of Nepal.

During the month of September, the temperature in the daytime can vary from 15 degrees Celsius to 24 degrees Celsius. During the night, the temperatures drop to 5 to 8 degrees Celsius, which is the lower part of the Everest region.

However, temperature entirely depends on altitude. As you touch higher altitudes (4000+ meters), the temperature may be something around 0 to 10 degrees Celsius on average in the daytime, but in the nighttime, the temperature can range from 5 to -15°C.


October is another best month of the year to go on Everest Base Camp Trek. This is the time of the year when thousands of trekkers and travelers appear to conquer this trek.

September, October, and November are the very high trekking and peak seasons in Nepal. During the month of October, the sky is totally clear every day to enjoy the mesmerizing views of the Himalayas.

The temperature in October, in general, the daytime temperature ranges from 12 °C to 16 °C average, which is moderate, and it’s suitable for trekking.

During the nights the temperature drops down from 5 °C to -14 °C. This is also not considered as extreme cold, especially in the high altitude of the Everest region.

Normally, in other months the weather in the mountain region keeps changing frequently, but not very often in the month of October. So you can enjoy the trek fully without any hassle. The climate is usually moderate and refreshing.

Unquestionably, this is the best time to go to Everest Base camp to enjoy the beauty of culture and nature.


November is the ending month of the Autumn season in Nepal. However, trekking in the Everest region in the month of November is enormously incredible, providing quintessential weather and climate.

The weather in the Everest region in November is neither hot nor too cold. It's moderate with a clear sky. There is no chance of rainfall during November.

The climate gets colder and begins the pre-winter season at the end of November. There is also some chance of snow-falls that can happen from the beginning of December.

During the month of November, the average daytime temperature ranges from 15 °C to 0 °C. So, it is very cold indeed. At night the temperatures fall even more and usually fall below freezing. The average temperature at night falls between -2 °C to -12 °C.

Nighttime will be freezing cold at an altitude of 4,500 meters above sea level. If you are planning on a trek to Everest base camp in the month of November, you should better be prepared in trekking equipment with plenty of warmer clothes, expect chill and colder at night as you go higher, but the lower part of the Everest region has a moderate temperature.
