Poon hill Annapurna base camp trek is a fully combined trek that takes you to the most beautiful places of Poon Hill (3210 m) and Annapurna base camp (4130m), these two places are the main highlights of the region. Poon Hill Annapurna base camp trek is an amazing hike that takes us through some lush forests of rhododendron and oak trees of the Annapurna conservation region, the trek officially starts from the beautiful city of Pokhara with a short scenic drive to Naayapul from where you the walk starts following the beautiful rice farm, terraced fields, and exciting local villages of Hille, Tikhedung and Ulleri for the first day, then afterward, you will be a hike to Ghorepani and Poon hill for the next day, poon hill is one of the popular most inspiring places to witness the views of the entire Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges along with the array kissing sunrise on the top of Annapurna and Machhapuchare ranges.
While hiking towards Poon hill which stands at an altitude of 3210 meters which is the second-highest point of the trek, the views from here are outstanding, after a short hike to Poon Hill, our journey constantly move for the further steps towards Annapurna base camp walking through the high hills within dense rhododendron and oaks forests with majestic close-up mountain sights of Annapurna South, Fishtail and Dhaulagiri.
Trekking from Poon Hill to reach Annapurna Base Camp takes another 4 days via crossing the several Gurung settlements, iconic waterfalls, a few suspension bridges, and surprising scenery of the mountains. The tail is gentle and up and down hills into the jungle where you may see some animal like deer, monkey, fox, Himalayan Danphe, etc. Reaching Annapurna base camp, you will be rewarded by the beauty of fantastic surrounding mountains vistas, our overnight stay at base camp will be a blissful blessing with graceful views and glorious sunrise and sunset views. Our journey from ABC leads us on the same trail downhill for 2 and half days to reach Siwai, this is the ending point of the trek and we catch a local jeep or bus to Pokhara.
