Jomsom Muktinath Trek - 12 Days is another wonderful short trekking destination in the Annapurna region of Nepal which is situated in the northern part of Nepal, this trek is one of the classic trekking routes in the Annapurna region which provides an inspiring Himalayan mountains view of Annapurna range and Dhaulagiri range.

The trek leads you to the Kaligandaki Rivers (the deepest gorge in the world) valley up to the Kagbeni village after a scenic mountain flight from Pokhara to Jomsom. Jomsom is the gateway to Muktinath as well as Upper Mustang valley treks. After 25 m delightful mountain flight than our beautiful trekking starts from here towards Kagbeni village where trails have engaged way up to Upper Mustang and Muktinath, The next day our hiking goes towards Muktinath village which is most popular Buddhist and Hindu pilgrimage place of Nepal.

    The first day of your trek is an easy and short walk starting from Nayapul to Tikhedunga. The trail goes along the Burungdi River with scenic view, passing paddy fields, villages of Birethanti and Ramgai, arriving at Tikhedunga. In the afternoon you can explore the village, overnight lodge.

    Today is a tough day of your trek ascending to uphills, As you trek along beautiful scenery and passthrough typical villages, wide landscape, crossing suspension bridges and ascending to Ulleri. From Ulleri the trail takes you through a lush green forest where you may see wild animals and colorful birds before reaching Ghorepani. From Ghorepani, you will see the beautiful Himalayan range, overnight at lodge.

    Today we have an early start of the day as we begin before sunrise to ascend Poon Hill in time to view the sunrise top on the Himalaya. The marvelous panoramic view from Poon Hill includes Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, the Annapurna and much more. After enjoying the views, we return to our lodge for a hearty breakfast and then follow a pleasant forest trail through rhododendron and villages with terraced farmland to eventually cross the Kali Gandaki river and arrive at Tatopani with nearby hot springs where we take a dip and savor the experience, Overnight at Lodge.

    The pleasant route heads north as we follow upriver in the Kali Gandaki valley. We take the chance to explore newly developed trails away from the motor road. We will pass through scenic farmland with rural villages surrounded by terraced fields. We are hiking up the world’s deepest gorge, with Dhaulagiri, world’s seventh highest peak on one side, and Annapurna I, the tenth highest on the other.We ascend to the peaceful village of Ghasa, mainly populated by Thakali people of this region, Overnight at Lodge.

    Today we continue our journey up the Kali Gandaki. We pass through peaceful forests to the large settlements of Lete and Kalapani and as we continue the journey north, the territory becomes noticeably drier and the lush vegetation and forests give way to the more desert-like terrain. The culture, too, begins to change from the lowland Hindu style practices to a Buddhist lifestyle. Tukche is a scenic village with surrounding orchards and a monastery. The local brandy from Tukche is famous throughout Nepal and a hit with many trekkers, Overnight at Lodge.

    We pass through the scenic village of Marpha, famous as part of the Annapurna Circuit for its apple pies before road building dramatically decreased tourism. We enjoy thrilling views of the surrounding peaks and unforgettable landscape, Jomsom is the next town and district headquarters of Mustang. The route then follows a pleasantly up the arid valley of the Kali Gandaki river to the fort of Kagbeni, an ancient trade post with a Buddhist monastery, too. Kagbeni is just south of the restricted area of Upper Mustang, Overnight at Lodge.

    We will make an exciting journey up the valley in the direction of the legendary Thorung La pass. We are on the world-famous Annapurna Circuit but most people attempt the pass from the other direction. We make a scenic climb up the Jhong River valley with marvelous scenery along the way. The trail passes ancient villages on the way to Muktinath, a temple that has long been a pilgrimage destination for Hindus and Buddhists alike. The temple’s walled complex has a Buddhists monastery and Hindu shrines, 108 bathing spouts and even an ‘eternal flame, Overnight at Lodge.

    We have reached our final day on the trekking trails. The journey heads down the valley as we lose elevation and gradually rejoin the Kali Gandaki River valley bottom and the trail back to Jomsom.     We say goodbye to Mustang today and will have an early morning flight back to the Kali Gandaki Valley’s southern section. The scenic flight returns us to Pokhara.     Health and Fitness requirements

    Jomsom Muktinath trek is a moderate trekking destination for every trekker who loves to enjoy and explore the beautiful landscape on this planet. This trek basically starts from low land to high land as you are hiking in these areas then you have to fit yourself. We are mainly concerned with your physical fitness to complete the journey.  The everyday trek prefers 4/5 hours in daylight. As you hike up to the high altitude then you have to be prepared physically and mentally to be succeeding the trip, our provision is making your trip reliable and remarkable without any problems in every step to steps with your wealth health. Our first priority is safety for your entire trip. you Should convenience yourself to take some pre-training course of the trek which could be greatly helped you, considering some physical exercise like jogging, running, climb stair-case, cycling, swimming and hitting the gym, etc.

    Accommodation in Kathmandu, you would be staying in the best hotel basically on 3 stars, on a twin-sharing basis. But Accommodations in trekking  is simple and comfortable beds room with sharing two persons sometimes if you are single you get a single bedroom as well with hygienic food, Every trekking route have a fixed menu and hotel system by local management community in the area

    Passport and Visa

    Every client must have a veiled passport from the return date with a 6-month prior validity in the Nepalese consulate in your country or immigration office at Tribhuvan airport in Kathmandu.

    Meals and Drinking Water

    In popular trekking areas like Annapurna, Everest, Langtang, and Manaslu have a menu system with different ethnic cuisines foods as well as western meals you can see on the Menu, you could pick up any kinds of meal you like to eat from the menu. But some places provide you with typical Nepali meals which are different types of international meals. These are prepared by the local supplement. Every tourist Lodge has a well-trained cook basically attention to clean, hygienic, fresh, and nice testy foods. We can even enjoy hot chocolates; a variety of pieces of bread, and a variety of drinks, and every lodge have safe drinking water or mineral bottles of water you could buy there. If you buy a water purification tablet from Kathmandu you can take water from the tap and purify by yourself this will be cheaper and controlled by plastic pollution as well.
